Operation Duplex-Barbara went as far as imagining a three-pronged invasion from points near Neufchâtel, Lausanne and Geneva, according to a map published in the Swiss newspaper.
Behind the dastardly raid was a paramilitary organisation dubbed BLD, the Dijon Free Brigade bent on grabbing back money that Switzerland had stolen from Saônia.
For its credibility, the Swiss army must work (to ward against) threats of the 21st century, Antoine Vielliard, Hauate-Savoie councillor, told Matin Dimanche.
This is by no means the first imaginary scenario dreamed up by the Swiss army. Last year, it carried out an exercise based on the premise that a huge wave of refugees crossed into the country after the implosion of the European Single Currency and ensuing chaos across the continent.
Stabilo Due centered around a risk map created in 2010 and envisaged internal unrest between warring factions as well as the possibility of refugees from Greece, Spain, Italy, France, and Portugal.

So their war games are “send a message to the UN instructing the French to surrender”?
My money is on the Swiss.
The Swiss are tough; they defeated the Austrian Hapsburg duke Leopold at Sempach in 1368 with their halberd spears, so most of Europe left them alone. Perhaps they will be the last redoubt against world government.
When was the last time France invaded anyone; The Napoleonic Wars?
Isn’t part of the LHC loop in France? When the French cut the power (the built an N-plant or two to supply it) to it, that’s when the Swiss will know to expect hordes of illegal muslim invaders entering through the LHC tunnel.
Algeria, Viet Nam, Mali
Countries that are bankrupt can’t afford to conduct military operations.
Military operations require cash to pay for “stuff” like supplies and soldier’s pay.
The only way bankrupt countries can engage in war is if an international banker lends their leader money to fund their war effort.
Since Switzerland is the home of the BIS, I doubt international banking would finance a war there.
Currently Swiss banks are under attack for complying with Swiss law. The US and other nations have threatened to use force against Swiss banks and Swiss citizens caught outside of Switzerland if they refuse to rat out secret account holders.
To keep their branches open and their ability to travel, they have complied.
This scenario just extends the attack inside Swiss borders, it is the money they want, after all.
In a few years this tactic against the Swiss will backfire, as Russia and China will begin to enforce their law worldwide in the same manner, and previously protected Europeans and Americans will wake up in Eastern European and Asian Jails. As the Us loses economic and military power, they will lose the ability to threaten the ascending nations, and Obama's chickens will come home to roost.
The Swiss should be more concerned with in-country ROP violins.
That’s like Vermont invading Texas.
Then again all of them will likely get sidetracked at the first Ikea before the Texans could get the safety off...Which isn’t fair to the Texans.
The new world order plan for European countries to lose their national sovereignty is already operational, it’s the European Union.
The real attack is not planned as any military action but merely some voting which would fold the nations of Europe officially into one nation.
I disagree !
Both their defenses , .. and their cheese, has holes in it !
and they studied under the French (Gaul ).

I’ve climbed the lower of some of those ‘hills”. No one is getting in without permission
I meant lately, like the last 100 years or so. France’s relations, conquests and colonial aspirations for the places you named, go back centuries.
Vietnam (part of French Indo-China) was more or less under French control since the late 19th century. Initiated by Napoleon III.
So technically after the Napoleonic Wars of the Bonaparte era, but still.
There is a pretty cool video out there somewhere of a mountain road in Switzerland. Suddenly, the mountain wall swings open and a fighter jet screams out of the hidden bunker and takes flight.
