Which brings me to my question: Why is it the responsibility of the federal government to provide medical coverage?

If there is no constitutional reason for the federal government to get involved in taking over 1/6th of the US economy and force people to buy something, then there should be no alternative program to offer.

The premise seems to be the federal government should provide something, however, that “something” is not in the constitution. Therefore, that role, if any, belongs to the states and the people (10th Amendment).

We need more of that. The biggest problem on our side is not the Dems. It’s the propaganda media. If not for the media, the Dems couldn’t get elected dog catcher in San Fran.

Our talking heads need to stop giving into premises and point out the bias on live TV, in a respectable but forceful manner. If this became a trend then the media, while still remaining biased, would fear embarrassment/reprisal on live TV so they’d cool their pom poms.

That is a foolish goal, since there are a number of us who support aspects of it.

Before I say, "Speak for yourself," I have to know: What "aspects" of Mengelecare do YOU support?

David Gregory certainly had his DNC talking points down. Sen. Ted Cruz didn't fall for his ploys and kept hammering him in return about his false narrative. Gregory didn't know what to do when Cruz wouldn't take his bait and kept hammering the Donkeys as obstructionists (and especially Obama and Reid). Well done, Sen. Cruz.

From Wikipedia:

“Referring to Cruz’s time as a student at Harvard Law, Professor Alan Dershowitz said, “Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant.”

The next few months should be telling as to what Rove and Axelrod’s friends are able dig up on Cruz. Question is when will they drop the bomb? Hopefully Cruz is guarding against any “47%” moment.

Outstanding presence and command of the facts, articulate, thoughtful, genuine and a true patriot. . .all those things the MSM and the DC scum are not and detest.

Cruz is a man of principle not inside-the-beltway process, and if given a fair hearing, speaks to the average American in a manner that is not condescending or over-blown partisan hype.

David got his clocked cleaned in an efficient manner. . .so much so that David didn’t even realize he was getting schwacked.

Cruz in 2016.

Thing is, the Republicans need to be FOR something.

Don’t just oppose Obamacare. That is a foolish goal, since there are a number of us who support aspects of it.

BRING FORWARD A COMPETING PROGRAM.

The Competing program is the Free market!

I support the fact my employer currently covers my healtcare, and I like my plan.

I likewise support the Obamacare coverage which will be available, should I somehow lose my current employment.

American companies are busy (have been for an entire generation) sending American jobs overseas. America’s employment base continues to shrink. Each time an American jobs goes overseas, another American is OUT OF LUCK on insurance.

I believe what we have now, is the best plan we have out there right now. With Obamacare.

I’m not saying it’s perfect, but all I see is Republicans complaining about it.

Pass something.

First. Now.

Pass something GOP.

The competing “program” is to get the government out of the business of healthcare, altogether.

Obamacare is a job killer.
Already many are going from 40 hours to less than 29.
Premiums of those that work are going up like a rocket and coverage is going down.

If you had coverage with an employer before, you are more than likely going to see it IMO end now. The employer can either reduce staff, hours or just pay the fine and send people out looking for their own.
Some employers are giving a few dollars to employees and telling them to go find their own as well.

Your employer CURRENTLY does cover you, but unless you are a GOVERNMENT worker, don't expect the best for your future. Even government workers are IMO going to get their butts handed to them by the people in the near future. Another round of defunding many of them.

Precisely.

I think private companies have milked this for all it is worth.

I think America needs to bring back American jobs, and I think we need to protect American workers now.

If American companies were hiring Americans, and American jobs were growing, and America’s future was improving, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE NECESSARY.

That is not what is happening.

Our companies have run roughshod over the American system.

When did China become part of the American system?

We are completely on the wrong path right now. GOP and Democrats both.

BRING BACK AMERICAN JOBS.

Now.

How was Gov't involved in health care before Medicare?...other than in exchange of $$$$.

A lot of people believe in natural remedies. Why does gov't get involved with outlawing certain of those natural remedies? Probably more people die every year from a legal medication than outlawed-by-government natural treatments. With ObamaCare, you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Obama and ObamaCare make me sick!
