Just watched the whole thing on youtube. Ted Cruz is a hell of a debater. See Wiki on this (didn't want to copy and paste) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz What a resume. Remarkable.

They picked the wrong guy to have on the show. He makes a mockery of the questions and thoughtfully argues his case without dramatics, without ad hominem attacks, and with facts. Man, it is obvious why the Left and the establishment GOP is so worried about him. He mops them up.

He is no comparison to the weak candidates we had for President last time. He could be the One to restore our Country. You go, Cruz.

You do not know what you are talking about.
Republicans have SEVERAL alternatives to Obamacare, the most obvious being the system BEFORE Obamacare with a few small changes.
Harry Reid and Obama do not allow debate. One of the reasons we are having “government by CR” is that the Democrats really don't want any amendments or changes or “Regular Order” to allow such debate in the Senate.
HSA or Health Savings Accounts are part of the answer, and that is a REPUBLICAN idea.

If you’re advocating for elimination of Healthcare from the government monopoly it currently enjoys, I say hooray and support that 100%.

Thanks for the link. Watched it. Great interview with a contentious interviewer. Cruz was masterful at avoiding the traps. Mr. Gregory, you are wrong; Cruz's efforts have moved the needle. Whether a democrat jumps on the Cruz bandwagon or not is irrelevant to that measurement. Cruz has endeared himself to the millions of Americans without close ties to the Washington elite. The needle has moved considerably; and if you can't see it, you need to pull your head out of Washington's nether regions.

BRING FORWARD A COMPETING PROGRAM.

Obamacare is the competing program. Free market insurance is what it should be compared to.
A number of improvements to the free market insurance have been proposed, such as out of state competition and tort reform. However those have been repeatedly blocked in most states.

The biggest flaw in Obamacare is that it is socialized medicine and that never works out. Centralizing planning and power has lead to countless debacles.

Gregory tried but he didn’t get close to tagging Cruz. Note, that when the question was being posed you could read Cruz’s facial expression, which immediately indicated he was on top of it and assembling his remarks. Cruz’s mind is something to behold. They all try to tag him, but none can succeed. Soon they ought to recognize that getting into a debate with him is a sure sign of coming out the loser. Only a fool would keep trying.
