If only liberal “pet groups” would be fair about it. I could see a gay family not wanting to buy a product if the manufacturer doesn’t like their group. Then understand that religious people don’t want to buy products from those who adore “choice” (abortion) or those who support socialists like Obama. Don’t put us down for what you are so proud of doing yourselves!

Love it! Barilla is the best store-bought pasta IMO anyway. When I’ve shopped in markets in Italy, the most popular boxed pasta I always saw on the shelves there was Barilla...

Uh oh “Chic-Fil-A Boycott Syndrome” in effect. I'd by stock in these guys if it was available, their sales will soar...

I've tried Barilla's whole grain pasta... it's very good, IMO.

Now, if they could only make a pasta without carbs... ;-)

Interesting... never heard of "Miracle Noodle". Will check your links more in-depth when I'm not so sleepy. Thanks for the links.

I will continue to support Barilla (and Chik-fil-A), though...

Amazing how these groups foster the contempt I never knew years ago.

These bullying tactics will only increase sales.

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Barilla, whose chairman said he would never feature a gay family in its advertising. The comments sparked a firestorm of protest on social media and resulted in online petitions in English, German and Italian, including one by Italian playwright and Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo. A MoveOn.org petition started by Beth Allen, a Takoma Park, Maryland, mother of two and a lesbian, garnered 85,000 signatures by Friday evening.

So, today Barilla issues a formal apology saying he will “meet” with those groups he has offended. Too bad. I suspect a gay couple will be in his next ad! Nothing to see here. Move along.
