Israel TV: Iran will have enough uranium for a bomb in 2 months
Times of Israel ^ | Sept 27, 2013 | By Times of Israel staff

Earlier Friday, Israeli newspaper quoted government security source saying Islamic Republic already has at least one nuke.

Hours after an Israeli newspaper quoted a government security source saying that Iran already has at least one nuclear bomb, Israel’s leading Arab affairs analyst offered only a slightly less dramatic assessment, saying the regime in Tehran was no more than “one to two months away” from having sufficient 92% enriched uranium to build its first bomb.

Ehud Yaari, the veteran analyst of Israel’s top-rated Channel 2 TV News, added that Iran also had more sophisticated centrifuges becoming available soon that could cut that time down to just “two or three weeks.”

That’s the thing, the Iranians can’t use a purchased
bomb as an example of their own because the signature
would be of whoever made it.

Once they have their own, then that first one is
just another in their arsenal.

Too late. They already have the bomb. Thinking otherwise is delusional.

Thanks Innovative.

Israel will flip the entire script, that will lead to a political and paramilitary firestorm which will consume their Syrian and Iranian enemies. We won’t know what was done until later, perhaps much later (if its covert). Meanwhile, coverage will continue of fish and birds who are arrested as Israeli spies by the superstitious simpletons running the neighboring Muztopias.

Negotiations with Iran will be completed after Benghazi, IRS and DOJ spying on Fox News investigations are completed.

Obama and those who tell him what to do know want Iran to have the bomb. For some reason they ALL want muslims to rule the world. Israel cannot sit by and allow Iran to get nukes. They’ll have to act within a month or so. They may show Iran what a nuke looks like.

"So, Israel will be hitting Iran within the next two months ... finally. Wonder it they will as Obama’s permission."

Don't think so. Israel won't attack while the US and Iran are engaged in high level negotiations. Obama has checkmated Israel and given Iran the time it needs to finish the bomb IMO.

Agree, unless Israel feels they are in immediate danger then all bets are off.

I agree. Some action, Osirak-like, could have been done several years ago. Now it's way too late. There is no way to know where enriched Uranium is stored; and you can bet that it's not in any one place - just out of concerns of general safety. The frame of the device is already done and had been dry-tested many times. Measurements that were hard in 1945 are trivial today, and you only need a couple of high accuracy instruments to do that; those instruments can be simply stolen from Western companies who bought them legally.

Nobody outside of a very small group of Mullahs knows for sure how much material had been produced - and how much can be borrowed from NK or Pakistan. Sure it'd be illegal to share the Uranium, but something tells me that King Kim the 3rd is not particularly concerned about that. But without that knowledge an external observer cannot say with certainty what Iran has or doesn't have.

On top of that, the same reasons that prevented an attack years ago are still there. The nuclear plants of Iran are deep underground and cannot be disrupted by anything short of a nuke... and clearly nobody is willing to propose that. Nobody even has the complete list of nuclear sites; hard to do that when any abandoned mine can become an assembly workshop overnight. Israel resorted to annoying, pinprick attacks - sabotage with a virus; hits on scientists; maybe an explosion or two... but none of that had a chance to stop a much larger process; it was merely a delaying tactic which may have bought a few months - or not.

I think Israel is transitioning into the MAD mode, where Iran's nukes are a part of the regional war machine. Most likely Mullahs of Iran will never dare to use those nukes. After all, they are sitting pretty right now. They may say fiery words to the public from time to time, but they have no intention to ever risk their own comfort. The nukes are only to make sure the USA never confuses Iran with Iraq or Afghanistan. I cannot envision any other use of them.

Wouldn’t it be cool to have a nuclear war, AND a shut down the same week.

That would be great.

No, I wasn’t being flippant when I said Israel should do what she needs to do.

Israel is a sovereign nation and Israel can’t wait on the USA to do what is best for Israel.

I do not pretend to know what is best for Israel but I am certain they know. It is their decision in the end.

The shut down? No, I don’t think that is best but I also don’t think this nation should be held hostage to a president or Senate majority leader.

The President and Reid refuse to work towards what is best for this nation. If the choice is a shutdown or fully funding Obamacare without delay, then yes, shut it down.

We do not live in happy times, we have a terrible, lazy, incompetent, weak leader. What will be will be. Hope for the best and plan for the worst. And always pray for peace.

MAD may not work with Iran as many in that country believe in the Mahdi and want to usher in his return by going apocalyptic....

But, our policies and penchant for foreign interventions has definitely taught potential enemies that the only way to avert complete destruction by the U.S. is to get the bomb. If we were going take action against Iran we should have done so right after Baghdad fell. Instead, we allowed ourselves to get bogged down in nation-building. If we are going to act like an Empire we had better improve at it.

Nice thoughts, and don’t forget the Saudis. Some analysts think that the Saudis will buy bombs from Pakistan once Iran has their bombs.

The nuclearization of the middle east is well underway, and its house of cards now has a few more stories added to it.

Israel will have to attack soon, before a UN deal is struck which requires staged talks, inspections, and reports of Iran’s nuclear capacities, or they’ll be labeled as “international outlaws” for acting in contradiction of any such program......

I hope that Iran's Mullahs are not fanatics but typical dictators. Those dictators love comfort, feeling of power, and exquisite wine in a country where alcohol can get a common man hanged. All that fiery talk about Mahdi is just to keep the population brainwashed. If the real Mahdi suddenly shows up, those Mullahs will have him killed. The best Mahdi is the one who is always in the future. I hope the same reasoning applies to Iranian words about Israel. They are quick to say words, but how many of those fat Mullahs will personally grab a rifle and go onto the battlefield? They know perfectly well that if they declare war at noon, they should expect a cruise missile in their window about ten minutes later.

You can deal with dictators because they fear you, and they have many things to lose. You cannot deal with fanatics because they fear nothing and have nothing to lose; you can only destroy those, down to the last one.

The MSM - carrying water for Obama - is giving credibility to Iran’s Rouhani... where there should be none. The man is an established manipulator and liar. He’s buying time to complete the bomb. Period.
