On Wednesday, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, said he would "push" for more gun control if he is elected governor in a debate with Republican Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.
McAuliffe invoked the Washington Navy Yard, Aurora, and Newtown tragedies and asked, "How many people have to be killed until we wake up to have sensible gun ownership?"
He said he was "dismayed with United States Senate this year" for not bringing up a bill which was co-sponsored by Sens. Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) that would have mandated universal background checks.
"As governor, I'm going to push," McAuliffe said. "We need universal background checks for everyone to keep our loved ones safe."

Maybe because the Republicans can’t win is because too many folks here are too involved in TV shows instead of real life!

Jeez, I did not realize the Clintoon Toadie McAuliffe was still grifting.
It's easy when your base is full of low information voters.
There was a story about the race on my local TV news site. Some damn fool posted, “YAAAAAYYYYYY McAuliffe!” among other moronic sentiments. I called McAuliffe corrupt in my response, and my post was removed.
And women are going to elect him.
Keep it up, big guy. You’re doing great. So articulate and such a visionary with such a good grasp on the things that matter to the people of Virginia.
It is because you already know, to the very last vote count, the exact results of the upcoming election.
Are there any examples in history of free people surrendering their only means of protection and still remaining free?
