President Barack Obama on Tuesday assured the United Nations that the world is now a much safer place than it was five years ago.

The United States government has “begun to review the way that we gather intelligence so that we properly balance the legitimate security concerns of our citizens and allies with the privacy concerns that all people share,” the president said.

“As a result of this work and cooperation with allies and partners, the world is more stable than it was five years ago,” Obama added.

The president later added that “even a glance at today’s headlines indicates that dangers remain. In Kenya, we’ve seen terrorists target innocent civilians in a crowded shopping mall. And our hearts go out to the families of those who’ve been affected.”

Look around the world today, take stock of the global community and the political upheaval wreaking discord, uncertainty, havoc in unprecedented manner, the state of political instability that reigns, fundamentalist zealotry stumping civilized societal norms, countries at the very brink, the cause of which in many instances is the direct result of meddling by this hallucination-addled know nothing. In Egypt the terrorists are slaughtering Christians. Syrian terrorists use WMD's and we respond by wanting to bomb their government. Afghanistan has gone back to the Taliban, and Iraq is now awash in Al Qaeada terrorists. Iran's getting closer and closer to having nukes, and who knows what North Korea is up to with theirs.

In the US we have abandoned Bush's policy of stoping terrorist attacks BEFORE they're executed, and instead are using our vast intelligence resources solely for going after political enemies.

The US military is not only suffering huge budget cuts, but is being turned into one big gay social club.

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

We have five more years of dead Americans in Afghanistan yet the Taliban is stronger. Obama has five years of crap in his litter box that he is busy covering up.
