Guess What Happened to This U.S. Rep’s Private Health Plan After He Opted Out of Obamacare
The Blaze ^ | 9/22/13 | Dave Urbansky

When U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Col.) got the word that he could opt out of Obamacare or keep his current health-care plan — which you might be surprised to learn is a private plan — he took a road some might say is less traveled…and then hit a big pileup:

He breaks it down a bit more:

Instead of heading down a woe-is-me path, Gardner harnessed his unfortunate news to get a conversation going about what’s happening to people’s health-care plans in the wake of

the second type who work, will feel it.

Unless they lie about their income, as, no doubt, the "navigators" will counsel them. The computers aren't in place. The gubmint can't check. But executive orders are orders. Implementation must continue.

here’s the problem. they are more than happy to sacrifice because its their part in the transforming of America.

Nah. They're not true believers (and that's our only hope). They're just low-information pukes who watch the news once in a while, if at all.

I am a health insurance agent.
I am fully certified now for Medicare plans I want to sell, but I have avoided the “Under 65” Obamacare market training.

Going to a class Monday.

Did a little training online, but putting this off to the last minute. It is a small part of my business that I only need every now and then, since spouses going on Medicare are not always both over 65 and sometimes they can't keep group plan into retirement.

(COBRA does not protect against Part B Penalties, btw)

Anyway, guess what? All of the “agent” and “marketplace” training is being done from a CMS, Medicare and Medicaid Services website!

No not at all. I am saying that this is a clue that they had to piece together a “platform” to launch this thing. Sebelius and Obama thought that the States would all start their own “Exchanges” and were caught flat footed when so many States refused to set up State Exchanges.
So, they are pasting together, with bailing wire and duct tape, a program based on internet sites and training classes and such that those of us in the medicare market recognize as medicare platforms.

Again, I do mostly MEDICARE related work, when I am doing health insurance cases. (Not the only thing I do.)

Actually, the 65 and older crowd is working longer than ever before. I used to chase after those who were getting ready to retire, I would go after the Medicare Supplement business, etc., in order to have a shot at the IRA Rollover business.

We call this the “aging in” business.

However? Those who HAVE jobs are working as long as they can, so chasing after those turning 65 is not always as productive as it used to be.

But I am keeping VERY busy with everyone else.

How many of those true believers have been exempted? Muslims, unions, etc. But not those who have a deeply held religious objection to funding abortion or contraceptives get no pass.

There is NO Constitutional authority for the program, and as such, it should be scrapped.

Roberts will go down in history as vile as Benedict Arnold, imho.

So if the States did not set up an exchange the people in said state will go to the made up ones by Sebillius and obama which is Medicare or Medicaide?

Seems like it is a made up program to me and I am wondering if these people will really get insurance or if it will just be government stuff.

This could be nipped in the bud by requiring “navigators” to have insurance licenses, as they ARE selling insurance.

My medigap plan has increased in cost across the board. Even though (supposedly) there still is no monthly fee, coverage for every aspect has decreased while co-pays have increased. Plus, coverage has been disallowed in several counties in my state, as well as in several states in this country. IOW, if I get sick while traveling, I may not have insurance. No word on what it is doing to my doctors.

BTW, it also looks like I have NO out of netwrk coverage, and no list of in-network physicians was included in the list of changes. I have to ask for that separately.

When are people going to understand there is no healthcare in Obamacare. It’s nothing but a scam to grab your freedom. Wonder what’s in the additional 11000 pages added to the original 2700 pages in Obamacare?

Especially if you have health issues. My eldest is type 2 diabetic...no ins. only a part time job NO AMERICAN WILL WORK!, And no one wants to hire him because of it for a better job. He has 20+ years in management and supervisory jobs. DIL just had a Mascetomy, with chemo to follow Stage 3 as she is both hormone and HER2 positive. Her’s was the full time job. CNA, now she will not be able to work for at least a year, as it exposes her to to many sick people. SS has already turned her down, so has food stamps. Yet the illegal INVADERS are getting it with no hassle. Ind spends $130 M per year on Medicaid for ILLEGALS!

Any one who still trust McLIAR is insane, he is now trying to gut the Military’s health care!

I have to keep up with both medicare and Tricare Life as we are over 65 retired Military. Hubby worked his tail off under paid, over deployed for 20 years on the promise of health care when he was old. Now they are gutting even that. Our co-pays have double twice in the past 2 years, and now they are grabbing OTC drugs from the shelf and charging that price instead of the original TFL co pay price.

Look for more drugs to go OTC so ins companies won’t have to pay for them.

Doc tried to stick me on Forteo, it is an 18 month program of daily shots with a diabetic like pen. Med co-pay was $17, needles $30, over $800 out of pocket expenses, for a drug that is side effect riddled, regrows up to 9% BONE, BUT REVERSES once you stop the drug at 18 months a net gain of ZERO with $800+ dollars spent uselessly. When you ask about vitamin and mineral treatment you are met with HUH what is that look. They don’t even know what makes bones grow! And what you find in the net does not give you the dosages just what the vits and mins are.
