The outgoing government in Norway has buried much-vaunted plans to capture carbon dioxide and store it underground amid mounting costs and delays.

Members of the UN Universalist Consensus Church of the Burning Planet need to breathe into a plastic bag.
Shhhh! Don’t tell anybody but there’s already a whole bunch buried underground already. Heaven help us if it ever manages to escape. Why, it’d be worse than Yucca Mountain. What a bunch of didiots.
Isn’t there a Kevorkian model of these things?
I can conceive of an easy way to cut human CO2 emissions by half.
“Abandons”, eh?
As well they should!
It was mindless nonsense to have ever started.
“I can conceive of an easy way to cut human CO2 emissions by half.”

We could use a version of the gas rationing plan from the Carter years. If your social security number ends in an even number you could breathe on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If it ends in an odd number you breathe on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Everybody gets to breathe freely on Sunday. Even numbers breathe on first and third Sundays. Odd numbers breathe on second and fourth Sundays. Yes, I know that sounds wrong but why miss a chance to confuse people. Nobody breathes on the fifth Sunday unless they are in church.
Rather than “capturing” carbon dioxide and storing it underground, shouldn’t the money be spent on figuring out how to “capture” LIBs and storing them underground? That would be money well spent and be a great help to mankind.
Save the planet - kill whales and baby seals.
