Yep. Most people are too squeamish to call this sort of corporate-government partnership to control the rest of us what it is; good for you for being the exception.

I can trade in this 3g Verizon phone on something from AT&T, T-Mobile or another carrier this afternoon.
I’ll take my 5 family members with me too.
Want to watch, Verizon?

I particularly “love” the weaseliness of, on the one hand, declaring that, golly geez, they have to get in bed with Big Brother because they are just following the law — and then, on the other hand, trying to overturn laws that inconveniently require them to actually provide their customers with the service (access to the Internet sites of the customers’ choice) they purchased.

Another one of these weird issues which has the potential to unite the Tea Party with elements of the far Left.

There is no law. There is an illegal determination by Obama’s FCC that they can impose “net neutrality”.

Do you know a way to get out of your contract without paying their extortion fee? I mean a way that really works? I've found a lot of sites that claim to be able to get out early, but they all depend on waiting for a change in service terms. I want to be able to get out immediately. BTW, if you do get out of their contract by paying their extortion fee, do you get to keep your phone and phone #?

We're on month-to-month service with Verizon. Any suggestions for a better carrier?
I shouldn't have to say it, but just in case... AT&T is not an option.

Nonsense. It's long-settled law that a business can't sell you one thing (access to the Internet sites of your choice) and deliver something else (access to the Internet sites of their choice).

“Net Neutrality”, the subject of the article, is NOT the law.

Are we saying we’d disagree that a company owned by devoutly religious folks would have the right to discriminate against use of their service for porn sites, sites serving/promoting same sex marriage, not wearing shirts or shoes when using the service, or anything else that went against their beliefs?
What are the criteria here?
