This is the problem.
In places like CT and NJ (where I live), gun sightings are so rare that just seeing one makes the sheeple panic.
We have strayed far from our roots.
Here in Maine, the bank my mother uses once had a sign on the door prohibiting hats.
The few times I went in there with my mother I was wearing a baseball cap, and I kept it on my head. No one said anything. If they had, I would have told them to go to hell.
While on another visit to the bank, I told my sister, “What happens if a woman undergoing chemo-therapy enters the bank wearing a head scarf to cover her hair loss? Are they going to tell her to remove it? What if a Muslim woman comes in wearing a scarf over her head? Are they going to tell her to take it off? There’s going to be a big stink raised and a lawsuit!”
It wasn’t long before those signs were removed.
Meanwhile, bank robberies in Maine are extremely rare. In my area of Maine, where I’ve been for over 20 years, I can’t recall there ever being a bank robbery.
We need more stories like this. Great find marktwain.
Isn’t NJ a “may-issue” state, that has turned into a effective “no-issue” state unless you can prove you potentially needed one in the past for defense? At least CT is “shall-issue.”
I though they only only anted cops to have gun to protect them. They are scare of that too? They really do need to be institutionalized.
