Anti-fascist protests across Greece turn violent

KERATSINI, Greece (AP) - Violent clashes broke out in several Greek cities Wednesday after a musician described as an anti-fascist activist was stabbed to death by a man who said he belonged to the far-right Golden Dawn party. More than 75 people were detained.

The death of Pavlos Fyssas, 34, drew condemnation from across Greece's political spectrum and from abroad. While the extremist Golden Dawn has been blamed for numerous violent attacks in the past, the overnight stabbing is the most serious violence so far directly attributed to a member.

Golden Dawn leader Nicholas Michaloliakos denied that the party had anything to do with the attack.

Fyssas, a hip-hop singer whose stage name was Killah P, died in a state hospital early Wednesday after being stabbed twice outside a cafe in the Keratsini area west of Athens.

Police said a 45-year-old man arrested at the scene admitted to attacking Fyssas and said he belonged to Golden Dawn. A knife with traces of blood was found near his car.

Clashes broke out Wednesday evening between riot police and thousands of protesters holding anti-fascist demonstrations in Fyssas' memory in Keratsini and another five cities.

In Keratsini, violence broke out near the scene of the stabbing, with hundreds of protesters attacking a nearby police station.

You don’t even need to go to Germany. This happened in Greece before, and the commies got slaughtered. Greece was then under a military dictatorship for a couple of decades.
This country is a real mess, and we’re following right behind.

I predict inevitably Greece will be for all intents and purposes, a Russian colony.

“anti-fascists” means Communists. Not because only Communists oppose Fascism, but because Communists use the air of being “against fascism” to stage riots and violent demonstrations against police, banks, and political opponents.

They try to pin the violence on those they are “condemning”. Really it’s just a smokescreen. They (hundreds) rioted in Toledo Ohio (coming in from Canada and elsewhere) when the dozen “Klansmen” they claimed to be protesting didn’t even march.

Their website called police fascists, President Bush a fascists, and FReepers fascists.

Words mean things. They are COMMUNISTS.

Communists and fascists are competing for the same hearts and mind. These Golden Dawn clowns just happen to be blatant about their full on nazi imagery.

I have no love for fascists. I’m just pointing out that I’ve seen the “antifa” groups (as they call themselves) label FR a “fascist” site and call out specific FReepers on their website.

I’ve also seen them riot with no provocation, using other “injustices” as cloud cover for their own violence against the establishment.

According to the article, that would be the “far-right” Golden Dawn clowns.

I don’t get fixated on the “Far right” in continental Europe because the right in europe isn’t remotely like the right in the USA. They don’t mean the same thing at all.

The english speaking right in the world is who we can be grouped with.

Petros Fyssas: leftist rapper murdered by suspected Golden Dawn member

http://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2013/09/18/petros-fyssas-leftist-rapper-murdered-by-suspected-golden-dawn-member/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+KeepTalkingGreece+(Keep+Talking+Greece)

Greece is shaken with the murder of a leftist unionist... he was watching the match Olympiakos vs Paris St Germain Champions League. “While he was watching the match, he said something about Golden Dawn. They were informed. When he came out a car approached, somebody got out and stabbed my son,” Fyssas’ father told reporters... According to unconfirmed information, police seized the mobile phone of the assailant in order to find out if he was informed by some cafeteria visitor... Pavlos Fyssas had been part of the Greek hip-hop scene since 1997 and performed under the name Killah P. He was a member of metal workers’ union and of left, anti-capitalist party Antarsya... Wednesday marks the start of a 48-hour strike launched by public sector union ADEDY to protest the mobility scheme of civil servants.

They even call Rand Paul fascists, I heard this other day and got a good belly laugh out of it. They are either clueless or bad smear-merchants. Surely they can do better than that...

If only we could round up all the Golden Dawn members and all the communists in Greece and drop them on one of the drier Aegean Islands along with water for 1/10th of them and 50 Dory and Xiphos swords. No boats, no radios.
