Brady Williams has five wives, 24 children but no organized religion.
The newest polygamous family from Utah on reality TV considers itself progressive and independent. Williams and his wives slowly withdrew from the fundamentalist Mormon church in their rural community outside of Salt Lake City during the mid-2000s after re-evaluating their core beliefs.
The family no longer teaches the tenets of fundamental Mormonism to their children at home, opting instead to take from other teachings such as Buddhism to instill good, morale values in their two dozen children, who range in age from 2-20.
"Since we have left the religion, it's now about love and it's about commitment, and it's about happiness as a family," said Brady Williams, 43, a project manager in his brother's construction business. "It's not about the fear of hell or the promise of heaven."
It wasn't the first time Brady Williams has crossed religious lines. As a teenager, his parents left mainstream Mormonism and joined polygamy. He said that transition was very difficult, but not as hard as leaving the fundamentalist church his five wives all grew up in.

I am all in favor of homeschooling. I against those krazy keyboard commandos that say homeschooling is the only way, and that EVERY public school teacher is a communist.
Well that is more specific I guess...
Having experience with localities that were originally settled by polygamists, I can guarantee that the ratio of beauties to average-looking women in these localities is overstated on these shows!
The whole set up is phony. Beautiful wives aside, the generous providing husband and the happiness of the family is a totally fantasy created to bring in the idiots of society to their side.

Aw come on Foxx ... where did you get this idea ... aren't you just being an evil Anti by speaking another vicious falsehood?
Just say'in
I totally agree. In watching the "My Three Wives" show, I have never seen any reference to Kody's financial contribution being noted.
These two "husbands" are conniving, manipulative abusers, unfortunately with the active compliance of the women. This is the norm of polygamy from Joseph Smith on down to the present time.
“Im not sure it should be labeled deviant. Most early Bible characters had many wives, and young ones to boot.
Id be more inclined to label polygamy as illegal.”
However, as you stated, there is certainly Biblical backing for such a lifestyle and it would seem the Federal Government once again exceeded their authority and VIOLATED the 1st Amendment when they decided to central plan how many wives one could have.
Strange that the same Federal Government would now be leaning towards forcing acceptance of the real deviance of sodomites.
I wonder when pedophilia will be on the Progressive agenda for Federal acceptance.

Where is the “unsee” button?
Your many wives argument must be understood in historical context. God made it clear one man one woman.
Kings and rulers took the wives, concubines and property of the conquered, does not mean in any fashion the arrangements were sanctioned by God.
It is an argument that pro-polygamist use.
Someone is projecting.
