Brady Williams has five wives, 24 children but no organized religion.
The newest polygamous family from Utah on reality TV considers itself progressive and independent. Williams and his wives slowly withdrew from the fundamentalist Mormon church in their rural community outside of Salt Lake City during the mid-2000s after re-evaluating their core beliefs.
The family no longer teaches the tenets of fundamental Mormonism to their children at home, opting instead to take from other teachings such as Buddhism to instill good, morale values in their two dozen children, who range in age from 2-20.
"Since we have left the religion, it's now about love and it's about commitment, and it's about happiness as a family," said Brady Williams, 43, a project manager in his brother's construction business. "It's not about the fear of hell or the promise of heaven."
It wasn't the first time Brady Williams has crossed religious lines. As a teenager, his parents left mainstream Mormonism and joined polygamy. He said that transition was very difficult, but not as hard as leaving the fundamentalist church his five wives all grew up in.

I have spoken to a number of LDS about this, and they say that it is due to "Further Revelation." First African Americans couldn't be members, then they could, but they couldn't be "priests." Then they could, etc....
Last time I checked I was 100% USDA approved male. I have been a Catholic for most of my life. There was a short period when I was a protestant, but reverted back to the Catholic Church by the grace of God and a through reading of the Scriptures.
Perhaps he's a closet MORMON; out to draw attention away from LDS heresies...
The only thing is my closet is clothing.
Do you consider EDITING to be the same as Sc ripting?
I agree with you.
I'm against those rabid keyboard commandos that say Catholicism is the only way, and that EVERY PROTESTant teacher is a HERETIC from HELL.
No. The producers create and instigate certain things to get reactions. The last thing they want is for it to be unscripted, because that would tend to be boring.
(Just sayin'...)
It’s a very little known tidbit of history; but it’s been told that Brigham Young went through 7 seeing eye dogs in his lifetime.

Doesn’t Lot live just up the road from you; in the middle of the well-watered plain?
Yes; it appears that way!!!

There was NO 'revelation' from their GOD to stop polygamy; and there has been NO 'revelation' from their GOD to modify the Word of Wisdom.
Their Second Living Prophet® warned them about the first.
I do not know if there was been any warning about the second or not.
Where is the unsee button?
This aught to do the trick. Chug a couple dozen or so of these ... and presto! Don't forget to repeat as necessary.

Come on guy ... you know full well that this is not the reason why Brigham's mansion was called a dog pound!
That is only one on my list of LDS beliefs that make no sense.
When I lived in Central NY we used to get quite a few coming door to door. Several challenged me to read their scriptures and "Doctrines and Covenants." So more years ago than I care to recall I sat down with the BOM and read it cover to cover. I put a post it tab on every historical error and contradiction I found.
The next group that came around I asked them about the errors. No explanation was forth coming. They were very polite, but could not defend their beliefs.
Nothing has changed!
They've all but vanished from FR's religion pages. I ping a few that were active; but they've apparently lost the taste for crow.
