They were shiped to DC, fried, roasted or braised and eaten by Michelle Obama.

And the media gives them a free pass because windfarms are part of the religion of liberalism.

but but.. wind power is so cheap.. just flowing thru the atmosphere.. for the taking..

makes ya wonder about some folks.. they’d probably rather have a solar panel stapled to their forehead to run their pacemaker.. wouldn’t want to create any excessive waste yaknow.. batteries and all.

Follies are a dime a dozen these days, and seemingly, mostly funded by econuts and big gubamint subsidies.. all risky schemes, ask the birds, especially the eagles.

My wife and I drove through Kansas on our way to Denver and saw the fields filled with Wind Turbines. We stopped at the Colorado Welcome Center and asked about them. They HATE the Wind Turbines! They said that they cost 1 million each to build. It will take 5 years until they start turning a profit on them, but they are now finding that most of them are breaking after 5 years so the supposed income from them is a farce. Not to mentioned a sizable portion have already broken.

If the deaths had been caused by anything else except the politically correct windmills, they would been shut down long ago.

Ok, then. When can we see endangered bird and eagle burgers. Let’s not waste that meat.

I like the idea of wind power...but when you're driving the Columbia Gorge and along the skyline all you see is wind turbines, its sad...really is....

so over 10 dead bald eagles a year just so we can act all smart and cool, and pay huge premiums to boot...

No one cares about the actual killing of EAGLES, no one at all.
What is of concern is the CAUSE OF DEATH. If the deceased Eagle was chopped by a spinning windmill, then there is nothing to see, folks, walk along now.
However, if the cause of an Eagle’s demise was at the hands of an evil, gun clinging, perverted (pardon the word) HUNTER, then the scoundrel must be jailed, at the very least.
The threat to an inch and a half lizard will cause the cancellation of a billion dollar dam, under the Endangered Specie Act.
The final extinction of our national bird, though, is an “unintended consequence.” But the power doesn’t pollute.

I wonder what the numbers are relative to other winged creatures: ducks, geese, blue jays, robins...etc...etc...?

The eagles killed by those huge, slow moving blades needed culling so they won’t pass along their defective DNA.

Actually this is good news...Native Americans get eagle feathers for a Federal Supply. Sometimes it takes years because the demand is so great. Maybe the Feds will no longer have to issue permits to the Indians to kill the eagles.

In fact maybe Americans like you and me can also have some....Naw...we just support the government.

As my kids would say, “Don’t be hatin’ on those eagles!”

Stop drinking the eagle hat-or-ade!

Gosh, lib wind farmers, don’t you know hate isn’t a family value!

Wonder how may eagles were run over by libs driving their Suburu Outbacks?

A subsidiary of the Warren Buffett-owned MidAmerican Energy Holdings is looking to capitalize on federal tax subsidies by installing 448 wind turbines across five Iowa counties in order to generate up to 1,050 megawatts of power by 2015.

Really? Every time I've ever seen one, in person, in videos or on TV they've appeared to be moving very slowly.

That's what I love about FR, you learn something new every day!

Exactly. Such clear double standards, like a few hundred children killed in Syria - and the Libs beat the drums of war. Millions of children killed by abortion, and silence.

So what?

Teddy Roosevelt called bald eagles “dandified vultures.” I understand that they taste like chicken - just like spotted owls.

As long as they aren’t killed as the result of fossil fuel extraction - you know, evil oil and coal companies - its just the price we must pay for “clean” energy.

Morons.
