U.S. Officials: CIA Has Been Supplying Arms To Syrian Rebels For Weeks

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. officials say the CIA has been delivering light machine guns and other small arms to Syrian rebels for several weeks, following President Barack Obama’s decision to arm the rebels.

The agency has also arranged for the Syrian opposition to receive anti-tank weaponry like rocket-propelled grenades through a third party, presumably one of the Gulf countries that has been arming the rebels, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official and two former intelligence officials. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the classified program publicly.

And I bet those weapons are among those used to slaughter entire Christian villages. Do they have serial numbers, like the Fast & Furious weapons?

The atrocities of the people Obama is arming have been known for some time now. Obama has no excuse. I wish we could extradite him to Syria so he could be tried for manslaughter.

Calling John Poindexter! Calling Oliver North! Calling Caspar Weinberger!

They all lost their jobs over selling weapons to the Contras in Nicaragua, but Obama can just give weapons to al Qaeda in Syria without consequence?

I think the Javelin is an anti-personnel/anti-building weapon too. I think it has some kind of selector switch.

There are 3 different attack modes, and yes, it can eliminate fixed structures very, very well.

It targets tanks, armored vehicles, bunkers, and other immobile structures.

There is even a new FAE version that is remarkable.

My GUESS is that now the US military aid to Al Qaeda DOES include this weapon.

I think its been going on for a whole lot longer than that. I have personally believed that it explains the massive ammunition buys of our government.

Could well be. A lot of that ammo was hollow point as well, you would have to macth up the ammo buys with avaliable weapons for the terror types.I bet you have something there.

Makes sense as well zero/the regime never ask permissionwhen they don't have to. Having the CIA at their behest means never having to say you are sorry. It's alwsy the rogue CIA's fault.Perfect out for the dozen or so lawyers surrounding zero.

This could still mean that Syria was all BS just a ruse to get them throuhg untill the debt ceiling. IMHO, its all about zero not getting impeached.

For some reason they’re afraid to go beyond a few weeks.

I agree.

Good catch,Syria is a lose/lose situation for the regime, why prolong it. They ony need a few weeks until the debt ceiling and then amnesty after that. Syria Keeps the newspapers from prinitng anything at all about the other scandals that do lead to impeachment.

DHS claims that it is buying ammo in bulk to save money, but experts have pointed out that hollow point bullets cost nearly twice as much as full metal jacket rounds. They also explode on impact for maximum damage, which has caused some Americans to wonder what purpose they would serve the DHS domestically. Purchasing 1.6 billion rounds of ammo would also give DHS the means to fight the equivalent of a 24-year Iraq War. Members of Congress say the DHS has repeatedly refused to tell them the purpose of procuring such large amounts of ammo.

“They have no answer for that question,” Congressman Timothy Huelscamp told Infowars in March, pointing out that the purchases are being made at a time when sequestration should be limiting the agency’s spending. “…We’re going to find out… I say we don’t fund them until we get an answer.”
http://rt.com/usa/dhs-ammo-investigation-napolitano-645/

DHS officials testified last week that it was only planning to purchase up to 750 million rounds of ammunition for training centers and law enforcement over the next five years. The agency’s spokesman, Peter Boogaard, told Congress that the media reports are ‘misleading’. But Boogard also mentioned a second five-year contract for up to 450 million rounds of ammunition for law enforcement purposes. Together, the two DHS contracts for ammunition would result in purchases of up to 1.2 billion rounds of ammo.

No, I didn’t mean the hollow-point bullets. I meant the cartridge was one that wasn’t even used by the government. I think it was 7.65x39 (for AK-47 clones), but I’m not sure.

I watch a bunch of film footage out of the ME and have yet to see any weapon that shoots any of the US domestic or military calibers. The rebels always have commieblock or French weapons. Spent casings are never US calibers. If our spooks are helping the rebs get weapons or ammo it has to be thru someone who buys from the commies. The Reb supply chain seems to be mostly guys running across the border a backpack at a time or stealing Syrian Army stuff which is also commieblock. At the very least if we are helping any of the Rebs it would have to be with commieammo because there is very limited amounts of any of those calibers made in the US. While we captured huge qtys of commieammo in Iraq our geniuses spent five years blowing most of it to hell saving only small arms and the newest ammo for future use by the New Iraqs.

Mostly I’m throwing the BS flag on the whole story. All I need is one more dog whisperer genius telling me on the sly what’s “really” going on.

That is the way I understand it. Rove only saw voters and dollar signs and introduced Bush to some CAIR leaders in Florida during his first election. There are pictures of him and some Muslim dude, who some say was a member of MB, floating around the Internet. Rove was also behind some other poor decisions...like not fighting back against the dem/leftist attacks on Bush over Iraq and WMD. Rove is not such a great friend to Bush or conservatives IMHO.
