A spokesman for Public Policy Polling admitted Wednesday to withholding a poll showing Colorado voters were going to recall State Sen. Angela Giron by a 12-point margin.
The reason, according to PPP pollster Tom Jensen, was that “in a district that Barack Obama won by almost 20 points, I figured there was no way that could be right and made a rare decision not to release the poll.”
When the votes were counted in race, the poll turned out to be on target, as Giron lost by 12 points. “We should have had more faith in our numbers,” Jensen said.
Interestingly, the poll also found 68 percent supporting background checks and an evenly split on a law limiting high capacity ammunition magazines.
The poll also found 53 percent of voters approved of the National Rifle Association.
One might think that Giron's stances on gun control would produce a different result in an overwhelmingly Democratic district, but Jensen pointed to the factor that made the difference:
But the NRA won the messaging game and turned it into something bigger than it was — even if that wasn’t true — and Giron paid the price.
PPP should be PPPP for piss poor partisan poll.

The PPP polls are quite good if my understanding is correct, and so I’m not buying the lame excuse that PPP decided not to release this once since not consistent with Obama’s re-election last fall. What does the one have to do with the other, other than that I smell a RAT? PPP may have just blown its credibility.
So...
An opportunity for the single biggest boost to their credibility came up, and they DIDN’T TRUST THEIR OWN POLLING DATA!!!
Good move.
They witheld their data because they knew it would weaken the cries of “Voter suppression” by the Dim-o-bulbs...
Mr. Jensen either doesn’t have much confidence in his own polls (which calls into question their methodology and accuracy) or values his own opinion/view above his own polls (which is another problem altogether). Both are very problematic for him. However, the real story is probably that he didn’t want to release the poll for fear of encouraging the pro-gun movement.
Maybe just as well not to publish it while voting was going on because it may have suppressed the recall vote with those that maybe deciding to stay home if it appeared that the recall would be successful.
They know this was a disaster for Democrats. Giron's district is heavily Democrat and Morse only got close because of massive vote fraud by Colorado College students.
It was a poorly disguised effort to influence the vote in favor of the democrats but it backfired.

He is, of course, assuming BHO REALLY did legitimately win by 20 points, which could be the fatal flaw in his polling data.
No, there was no voter fraud in 2012.(/sarcasm) A 32% swing in less than a year? I'm sorry, but that simply does not pass the smell test. No person that voted for Obama in 2012 is going to be against gun control less than a year later. This woman should have won easily, but she was removed with great prejudice.
