State Senate President John Morse became the first Colorado lawmaker to be recalled by his constituents in the states 137-year history around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
Less than an hour later, Sen. Angela Giron, also facing a recall due to her support of gun control legislation this year, became the second.

Morse conceded just after 9 p.m.
It has been an honor to represent the eleventh senate district and to serve as the Colorado state [senate] president, he told more than 150 supporters at the Wyndham Garden Hotel downtown.
Robert F. Kennedy once said, it is the essence of responsibility to put the public good ahead of personal gain. Our last [legislative] session was phenomenal, and the next session will be even better.
The loss of this seat for the next 16 months is purely symbolic.

Earlier Tuesday, Anthony Garcia, one of the citizen activists who started the recall process, reflected that his side has scored a victory of sorts, regardless of the final results.
I feel like weve already won, Garcia said. We did something no one thought we could do. We did it without much money, without much support. We did it with the will of the people.

This does not bode well for Gov. Chickenpooper and the rest of my gun grapping Rat buddies!
Congratulations, Colorado! It’s turning into a real good night.
Yeah, yeah...get off da stage ya bum.
I understand the scumbag rats wasted a ton of money on these races.
That is as big as the wins.
The Bill of Rights still means something to a lot of Americans. Foreigners, not so much. They haven’t got a clue what freedom is so they really don’t care as long as they get ObamaCare, Obamafoams and ObamaGrubStamps.
Yep, Bloomberg, for example, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars.
“Obamafoams”! LOL! Priceless!!
Meanwhile, the Locust People are still pouring into the state.
It means they’re content of having an idiot for a p-resident. 2014 is the real prize.
Hope this is the start of a good trend.
Nevada kicked Bloomberg out of the state last session (after taking what money he had in his wallet in true Nevada fashion) and now Colorado has run his bought-and-paid-for Democrats out of town. One of them the President of the CO state senate. Ouch.
If the CO dems have a brain in their heads, they'll treat Bloomberg like the herpes virus.
For the first time in a long time, I feel compelled to change my tagline.
Congratulations to all ormal people in CO on a truly great victory!!!
As long as flies keep landing on piles of Zero, I’ll keep mine because flies know.
I hope they are scared.
Veru scared.
if it was merely symbolic, why pour a ton of money into defending your asses?
thefact is it wasn’t symbolic, it is a forerunner of what they are facing very soon.
“Yep, Bloomberg, for example, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars.”
That’s part of the story of tonight. Outspent about 7-1.
Even more important.
* Morse’ district is a SAFE democrat district.
* Giron’s is an ULTRA-SAFE democrat district.
Obama won both districts by about 20% points in 2012.
But both were recalled. Giron was recalled in a democrat, hispanic stronghold by 12%. That’s a 32% point swing.
Even more important, they were recalled despite a radical new voting law dems passed that simplify most of their favorite forms of vote fraud. So, for example, Morse won despite busloads of Colorado College students from out of state registering as district residents today with no ID.
The great Obama/Bloomberg/Hickenlooper gun grab of 2013 is over and will not return for a decade.
In another year they will get around to black powder assault rifles and any rifle that accepts ammunition will be defined as an assault rifle.
Buh bye schmuck!
This is very sad. Only 2 of these A-Holes were recalled. Well it is a start.
Well, he certainly got that right, but for the wrong reasons he's claiming.
