Hunter: Obama Inviting Impeachment If He Strikes Syria Without Congress
Washington Times ^ | September 3, 2013 | Stephan Dinan

Rep. Duncan Hunter said Tuesday that President Obama would be breaking the law and even inviting impeachment if he went ahead with strikes on Syria after a congressional rejection.

“I think he’s breaking the law if he strikes without congressional approval,” Mr. Hunter, a California Republican, told The Washington Times. “And if he proceeds without Congress providing that authority, it should be considered an impeachable offense.”

Mr. Obama this weekend sent Congress a draft resolution authorizing use of force to take out Syria’s facilities for weapons of mass destruction, including chemical weapons.

I don't need no stinkin' Congress.
Hello, Valerie. Send over the wiretap transcripts we've got on the Republican members of Congress.

Would be breaking the law?

IT HAS LONG BEEN BREAKING ALL LAWS.

The US Congress is HATED by the American people
because for 5 years it has covered up the fraud
and lying and perjury of the Impostor.

The US Congress has backed crucifixion, rocket attacks,
beheadings, rapes, Nun parades, church burnings,
and SLAVERY.

Why? Because THIS US Congress is ONLY interested
in its bank accounts,
laws it make retroactive for ITSELF,
and its brothels, and whores, and drugs/alcohol.
The US Congress is HATED, deservedly.

Rep Hunter, with all due respect, sir, this fraud has committed any number of impeachable offenses that you could pick from that have nothing to do with Syria.

you and all your spineless pals in congress have failed miserably in your sworn duty to protect the US Constitution from this anti-American slime who has trashed it daily and made a mockery of our government.

so, do your duty. either impeach this assclown or shut the hell up.

i pray that the American people will wake up and abolish this unconstitutional government and remove all you idiots in DC before its too late.

Well, other than Clinton who was the first black president, there hasn't been impeachment proceedings for approximately one hundred fifty years. And now,impeachment against the president once again is very much on the minds of Republicans these days, the president of whom is black.

Mere coincidence? I don't think so. Racism is the card, the black of hearts, with which White Republicans will engineer the political lynching that will be Obama's impending impeachment [sarcasm off ]

resolution authorizing use of force to take out Syria’s facilities for weapons of mass destruction, including chemical weapons.

Has anyone told this bunch of dummies about the only safe way to take out chem and bio weapons is instant incineration?
If they know they know it means a massive FAE or a nuke.

Yikes! Hope that Janet does not get either of these in her hands.

He could have been but no.
Then he could have been voted out but somewhere around 3 million conservatives did not vote in the last presidential election.
See my tag line for the other problem that created. So all those who stayed home in the last election actually did vote.. for Obama!
Children and not adults where needed, but 3 million deliberateley stayed home.

They are more concerned with their current ranking, pensions, and perks so expect no aid from that side.

as long as Congress doesn’t change (or be forced to change) the unconstitutional “War Powers Act”, a narcissistic ignorant ill-advised malevolent megalomanic like Obama can unliterally order our military to commit acts of war for any reason he cooks up, for 60 days, without any further authorization

this will occur as long as democrats put party above nation and the GOP wobbles, waivers, eats their young, and sends sternly worded letters

With this Congress, Obama has a free hand.

And that’s not HIS fault - it’s OURS.

(Background music: "It Seems To Me I've Heard That Song Before")

Obama sent Congress a draft resolution authorizing use of force to take out Syria’s facilities for weapons of mass destruction, including chemical weapons. The WH "said" they had budgeted $50 billion PER DAY for the Syrian incursion.

=================================================

Hmmmmmm.....weapons of mass destruction?. That sounds awfully familiar. Oh, yes.......the $50 billion Iraq strike that ended up costing US taxpayers trillions.

Remember, Bush estimated the Iraq strike would cost $50-60 billion.......then Bush fired Larry Lindsey because Lindsay dared to say the war might cost more like $100 billion. FAST FORWARD Iraq and Afghanistan today total about $3 TRILLION.

====================================================

AS FREEPER SICKOFLIBS POSTED: 3/27/03 testimony before a Senate Appropriations Hearing

<><> Rumsfeld: " I don't believe that the United States has the responsibility for reconstruction, in a sense...[Reconstruction] funds can come from those various sources I mentioned: frozen assets, oil revenues and a variety of other things, including the Oil for Food, which has a very substantial number of billions of dollars in it."

<><>Wolfowitz: "We're dealing with a country that can really finance its own reconstruction, and relatively soon. The Iraq war will cost little, and Iraq oil will pay for it."

===============================================

The conniving Iraquis and Afghans milked (gag) reconstruction for all its worth.

<><> In Iraq the US military "trained" Iraquis for over 5 years. Here in the US, we take freckle-faced kids off the farm send them to boot camp and in three weeks we have battle-ready soldiers.

<><> In Afghanistan, the US DOD, the CIA, and other agencies, deposited zillions for the war effort into the Bank of Kabul. Afghan insiders were able to withdraw billions--no requirements about paying it back. Kharzi was seen loading billions on trucks to take out of the country.

The US military was forced to destroy billions in armaments left on the battlefields so the Afghan connivers could not get their hands on them to sell on the black market.

And this joker wants to repeat these atrocities in Syria.

Oh please. Even IF this Congress had the stones to impeach Obama, Reid and the rest of the Senate democrats (which includes John McCain and Lindsey Graham), would never, ever vote to convict him and remove him from office. So impeachment of Obama would be much like the impeachment of Clinton: pointless, and utterly useless. It would not change anything.
