sounds like they're begging for a situation
some kind of an emergency (armed or otherwise).
maybe a "wag-the-dog" situation..
been known to happen.

We even had scientists testify that the dredging operations bring food to the surface that fish use, and any sediments stirred up are soon re-deposited on the stream floor. No facts disturb a democrat’s strongly-held convictions.

They don't drive their own cars.
They drive brand new wheels either rented or owned by the apparatus they work for, paid for by money extorted from Americans that work and PAY federal taxes.
This stunt proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the apparatchiks are off the reservation.

Once the mining stops...it’s finished.
The bar required for mining to resume after 5 years will be set to the impossible standard of having to prove that it’s 100% safe.
To me this is a clear cut violation of the takings clause.

They could have sent up a couple of guys in a Crown Vic with donuts and coffee and gotten better intel. Instead, they send up an army and come back with nothing. They were given all this crap, and now they have to justify having it. So since there are not a lot of actual terrorists, they will use SWAT teams for parking tickets.
It will then become a self fulfilling prophecy, because people will only put up with this kind of thing for so long before they start pushing back. And they will be branded terrorists just for disagreeing.

Yeah it sounds like the Gaia/sacrosanct model is carrying the day. A sad story because God gave the earth to be taken wise care of, not to be knelt to.

Hmm, a town of 17. I’m not much concerned because I live in Texas. I think the strategy now after Waco, the feds are kept out. Plus if a small town was taken over and another move to the nearest town, word spreads fast here. I think the 3rd town may be a problem regardless of their mechanized divisions. We will prevail.

Well if Congress regained sense and we did not have an impossible president, all this bureaucracy could be overruled overnight. It’s not that hard. However, we will have to deal with Satan’s redoubts before we can deal effectively with the political questions. God has put this situation well beyond political rescue for a good reason. He’s there going Yoo Hoo! from heaven. Maybe some day America will actually listen!

I am inclined to believe a similar reason. Pure preemptive psychological intimidation rather like the IRS does periodically when they nab a hi profile tax dodger or ream a low level assembly line employee with a random audit so he he can spread the FUD among his co-workers.

Air, no, but water from wells and I consider drilling a form of mining.
