Has Pentagon chief reversed his position on striking Syria?

Gen. Martin Dempsey, the top Pentagon officer repeatedly warned against the costs and potential entanglements of military involvement in Syria. Now he's testifying on behalf of the White House.
The nation's top military officer warned repeatedly in recent months that getting US military involved with Syria is a dangerous proposition...
Did he change his mind or is he just doing the White House's bidding?
In the past, he has made it clear that US military intervention could tip the balance of power in favor of Islamist rebels who don't necessarily have the interests of the United States at heart...

Did you see the video of the hearing (it was on CNN) where Kerry (after blabbing nonsensically for a few minutes) turns to the General, and says "would you like to add your comments here General?".
The General says, "Thanks for the offer, but no, I don't have anything to say."

Senior generals have to support the Commander in Chief or resign. I would prefer that more resign, but that would give Obama more chances to promote his flunkies into positions of power, so we are not looking at a lot of good options here.
Do you think the Commandant of the US Marine Corps really liked the idea of “stepping out smartly” when the President and Congress ordered him to accept gays openly in the Corps?
We’re in perilous times. The steel supports of the Republic are cracking. It is impossible to say what will happen in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
