I agree but I don’t go near any road named after Martin Luther King because I know it’s the center of a community I want the freedom to visit without being attacked, robbed or killed. Not really the outcome MLK was hoping for.

If you are in a city, you simply do not ride by a group of African American youths. You ride the other way. Simple, street smarts. Sorry if it makes blacks feel bad, but it is simply survival. Likewise, if you are walking, you walk the other way. Avoid these areas, and avoid these people. Never let someone have the chance to sucker punch you. These guys are cowards and will not risk a fair fight.
So far we have had none of these problems, even on MLK Blvd. It helps, I think, that MLK, which was once a densely traveled two lane Cove Blvd 20 years ago was replaced by a 4 lane artery MLK Blvd. As a two lane years ago it was the focus of problems occasionally because drunk blacks would stagger into the street and get hit by cars, usually but not always with white drivers and there would be big protests and marches for a while about racial injustice because these drivers were not given life sentences immediately.
Trayvon seems like a really odd cause celebre to have garnered this much national attention. How many parallel cases have there been? Concerned citizen gets attacked by punk, punk gets shot dead. Very plain Jane crime story for today. Today I look for the spiritual side of something. Trayvon perhaps isn’t just The Generic Negro. Perhaps the devil had high hopes for him, and that got dashed when this “No Limit Nigga” met a limit named George Zimmerman.
