Vladimir Putin has rejected US intelligence claims that Bashar al-Assad's regime used chemical weapons in Syria, saying it would be "utter nonsense" for government troops to use such tactics in a war it was already winning.
"That is why I am convinced that [the chemical attack] is nothing more than a provocation by those who want to drag other countries into the Syrian conflict, and who want to win the support of powerful members of the international arena, especially the United States," Putin told journalists in Vladivostok.

Always ask -- who has to gain? The Syrian rebels, mostly consisting of Al Qaeda are the ones who gain, if the US attacks Assad.
There have been reports that the "rebels" are the ones who used the chemical weapons, but are blaming the government.

Putin will lie, but unlike obama, he’ll tell the truth when the truth serves him better than a lie.

What an interesting way of saying Obama is being played for a fool!
I would've just said Obama is a fool, but I don't have to be diplomatic.

I think Putin told Obama he would be forced to wipe out the US warship launching missiles on Syria, and that Syria and Lebanon would rain down Russian client states missiles on Israel for days and days.

The sad thing is Russia has a serious leader
We have a very unserious one. If Putin parks a couple of warships between our Destroyers and the Syrian coast, Obama will fold like a cheap suit. Either of which scares the holy hell out of me.

So the US had birds in the air last night on their way to targets but they never arived? Military refuse to follow orders, reversed command? Coup attempt reason for his sudden change of heart?
