NEW YORK With less than two weeks before the election, Bill de Blasio has surged into a significant lead in the citys Democratic mayoral primary, according to a new poll.
((snip))
Thats a 15-point lead over Christine Quinn, the City Council speaker who had been considered the front-runner to replace outgoing Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Quinn, with 21 percent support, is now statistically tied for second place with former Comptroller Bill Thompson, who registered at 20 percent in the poll.
The other contenders were trailing in single digits, including former Rep. Anthony Weiner (8 percent),

According to Wikipedia, he’s married to a Black Lesbian...and they have 2 children. Go figure.
So Weiner comes out flaccid. Well, NYer’s will find another narcissistic, perverted derelict.
hes married to a Black Lesbian...and they have 2 children. Go figure. The only thing that would make him more liked is if he was really a she and illegal
WHAT?? The STUPID people of NYC aren’t going to elect a PERVERTS??? Oh come on.
He’s married to a black LESBIAN??? I take back my other post....they WILL elect a pervert.
LOL Drudge Title: MR. NEW YORK: Dem De Blasio Surges To 15-Point Lead In Mayor’s Race; Weiner 28 Points Back...
> According to Wikipedia, hes married to a Black Lesbian...and they have 2 children. Go figure.
Nothing surprises me anymore. Nothing. Is that a recent Wikipedia entry? If so, i’d question its credibility. I wouldn’t put it past Bloomberg to try to snear him early on in the race.
What is DiBlasio’s position on the new rules restricting the Police? Quinn lost a lot of credibility when the City Council, which she heads, passed the new rules.
Quinn’s main strength was that it was “her turn”. Looks like Democrat primary voters are not going to fall for that.
Will Weiner stick it out even with his deflated position in the polls?
He admires Mario Cuomo for his “principled stands” on capital punishment and abortion.
Weiner’s lead shrinks.
Bill de Blasio (real name = Warren Wilhelm) is a brutal socialist. New York City has survived economically because of the pro-business, anti-crime Guiliani policies. Look for NYC to collapse if a Democrat becomes mayor again.
Republican John Catsimatidis is probably the only hope NYC has to prevent the slipping into the morass of such mayors as Abe Beam and David Dinkins.
Why the name change. Seems like another “community organizer”.
He looks reasonable in the circus of the Dem slate.
Where is the Republican and why don’t we hear about him?
I’m wondering just how far into that sidelined $4.3 M of former campaign cash he had for re-election in his House seat. He’s likely been using that for this run and I’ll be dollar to a donut, he’s gotten way way into it.....$$$$$$$$$$
A radio show host just mentioned yesterday that Weiner was paying for “Crowds On Demand” (or some similar name), that will provide “supporters” (actors) at $15/hour to pretend to support you. She even mentioned that his campaign had asked if they would suppress hecklers, but they wouldn’t out of liability fears.
Weiner just had to spend his campaign trove (or lose it); that Cindy freak he was involved with said he admitted as much. I’m sure his inner circle is making a LOT of money off this.
Face it the RAT candidates for NYC mayor resemble the bar scene from Star Wars.
NYC 1990 BG (before Guiliani):
1. If you drove into Manhattan through a tunnel you were surrounded and intimidated at the exit by the “squeegee guys” who wanted cash for washing your windshield, or they’d pound their fists on your hood, leaving dents.
2. If you took a train into Manhattan, you had to step over bodies laying on the station floor. Dead? Asleep? Pretending to be asleep? Who knew?
That was 23 years ago and I remember it well. But, figure anyone of 18 or over, has no memory of the squalor and poor quality of life under Beam and Dinkins. Oy, are they in for a surprise when they smugly vote in a “progressive!”
(de Blasio: “Let’s tax the rich! They’re so dumb they’ll never think of moving their legal residence to one of their other homes in Florida or the Hamptons! And then we’ll have even LESS tax money in NYC! That’s progressive!”)
