Syria: If US Attacks Us, We'll Attack Israel

As talk and rumors of an impending Western attack against Syria mount, a top Syrian official said Monday that if attacked, his country would react – against Israel.

Speaking to an Arabic-language radio station operated by the United States, Syria's Deputy Information Minister Halaf Al-Maftah said that Israel would face not only Syria in the event that the US, Britain and France attempted to unseat Bashar al-Assad. A coalition consisting of Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria would respond to any attack against Assad with a response against Israel. In addition, terrorist groups in Syria and Lebanon would attack Israel with full force.

Well that would explain how Damascus becomes a ruinous heap never to be inhabitable again.

Syria, if the US attacks you there will be nothing left to attack Israel. And if by chance to can attack Israel your ass will be a sand pile in quick order. Israel even with no help would turn your butts to ashes in about two days.

However it was a good educated guess about it starting in an out of the way place no one ever thinks about.

Agree.

Predicting the future accurately can be based on the knowledge of history and probability of it happening again when the same mistakes are repeated.

We seem to never learn, when we point it out we're called crazy...then everyone is "surprised"

Well, okay, bomb Syria. We and western Europe got Israel into that mess with our preferences for foreign oil and foreign labor. We should be bound to get ‘em out of it. The Islamist nations are not our allies.

Amen SkyPilot. Now is the time to be assured of your salvation. Even though Catholics believe that is not possible, it states in numerous places in God’s Word that you CAN be assured.

If the US attacks Syria, there are going to be a lot of dead Americans. This isn’t Iraq and it isn’t Afghanistan. Syria is an active Russian Ally.

Additionally, Israel is better off with the situation as is. It’s border enemies are at war with Jihadists which will go on for years.

If anything, it looks like America is trying to drive Israel into a war it nether wants or needs.

but I can’t figure how oil-importing China would benefit.

China appears to be working on dominating the far East and beyond. The only country standing in their way is the U.S.

Recently a large amount of oil has been discovered in the South China Sea which China is trying to contest with the Philippines.

In spite of the fact that we are their best customer, if few imploded, they could greatly expand their reach. Russia being a fellow communist nation but some what handicapped could reconstitute the USSR.

Think about how many people agree with obama and his puppet masters. Hillary, McCain, Pelosi, Reid and every democrat in congress. The new kids who just got there and those that have been there for 20 years and kept a low profile. Then you’ve got all the world leaders. Why does no one challenge him? I have to believe the link in Post #5 above explains it.

If you don’t have precious metals, I think now may be a good time to buy. Gold is over $1400.

Nobody at the time believed the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand would ever lead to WWI.

There was a certain unrest brewing there and all across Europe that was sparked to flame.

This could get ugly. Don’t just think Syria. In 1914 no one thought a little spat between Austria and Serbia would end up with WWI.

I don’t give a damn about either side in Syria, except for the Christians who are caught in the middle. Stay out and let them fight this out among themselves. There is no U.S. interests here.

Just a few days ago Israel took the advantage of unrest in Egypt to invite Hamas in Gaza (Who are effectively muslim brotherhood) for new peace talks.

Israel knows that they have the upper hand with Hamas right now and they’re using it. The progressive Tamarod movement is also challenging Hamas these days.

I don’t get the Syrian fellow’s logic. We blast the Syrians, therefore they attack the Israelis. Shouldn’t it be: we attack the Syrian, they attack us and not a third party.

There was a certain unrest brewing there and all across Europe that was sparked to flame.

You nailed it, now that we look back we see the catalyst, yet today we can't apply that same logic to see where all of the current situations are leading us to.

This current situation we find ourselves in is just a repeat of mistakes in the past.

LOL...George Santayana anyone?

This is the price we'll pay from not learning from, teaching history.
