Rand Paul: ‘Inexcusable’ Hillary Didn’t See Security Requests from Benghazi

Paducah, Ky. — Senator Rand Paul criticized Hillary Clinton over her handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack again today, saying it was “inexcusable” she hadn’t read the State Department cables requesting more security.

“I asked Hillary Clinton a point-blank question: Did you read the cables from Benghazi?” Paul said during a Q7A after a speech he gave at the Rotary Club in Paducah. “And she said she was too busy, she didn’t have time to. That’s inexcusable.”

“I continue to think that what was going on in Benghazi, what they were trying to cover up, was a gun-running operation into Syria,” Paul said.

Going back to Billy Boy Clinton's time, I remember Hitlary being asked some questions (I don't recall the exact incident, may have been about “travel agents”) and her pat answer at that time (still being used today) was “I don't recall”. For someone who has such a poor memory and doesn't have time to read memo's or be advised of a pending crisis in Benghazi, is that someone who the American people want as their next president? Probably!

MILITARY.COM reported that US Pentagon officials declined to give specifics on conversations between DOD's Chuck Hagel and Egyptian Gen al-Sisi....WRT the current Egyptian crisis.

Although the officials would not discuss the specifics of the military- to-military talks, the U.S. would need Gen al-Sisi's approval to move through Egyptian air space if Washington decided to send Marines to aid in the evacuation of U.S. personnel.

READY TO GO About 550 Marines and their tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey aircraft are at bases in Spain and Italy on standby if they are needed. A Navy Amphibious Ready Group with 4,000 Marines and sailors aboard, led by the helicopter assault ship Kearsarge, was also in the region following completion of the Eager Lion training exercises in Jordan.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A DHS employee operates a racist website predicting and advocating a race war. Ayo Kimathi, acquisitions officer for ICE, operates War on the Horizon, which includes descriptions of an "unavoidable, inevitable clash with the white race." Kimathi is black. describes the group as "a Haitianist organization created for the purpose of preparing black people worldwide for an unavoidable, inevitable clash with the white race.....Many of the postings are signed with the phrase, "We'll see you on the battlefield."

The inflammatory website has since been taken, but the Facebook page is still active (linked at NY Post web site)..... it was not immediately clear whether they cross the legal threshold into unprotected hate speech...the posts may not violate DHS policies if Kimathi does not curate the website at work or espouse these ideologies in govt offices. The Southern Poverty Law Center, which monitors hate groups, first reported on Kimathi on Wednesday.

According to the ICE acquisitions website, Kimathi is a small business specialist responsible for purchasing handcuffs, guns and other l/e equipment and services.
