(CNSNews.com) – In a blunt warning to countries critical of the Egyptian military crackdown and considering suspending aid, longstanding U.S. ally Saudi Arabia suggested that the decisions they make now will have long-term consequences for their relationships in the Arab and Muslim world. Saudi Arabia has led the way in supporting the Egyptian military’s actions, first in removing the Muslim Brotherhood administration early last month and in its subsequent steps against supporters of the ousted Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi. Its warning came as policymakers in the U.S. and Europe mull the question of continuing financial assistance to Cairo following the violence in recent days, in which more than 1,000 people have been killed in clashes between security forces and Morsi supporters. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal issued a lengthy statement Monday defending the military’s actions and informing countries that have threatened to withdraw aid that Arab and Muslim countries “will not hesitate to help Egypt.”

I was thinking the same thing myself, although I have earned a whole lot of compassion for the citizens of other rouge countries.
Now I understand that THEY do not always support their dictator. And what does it feel to have zero say in the government that rules your life.
Lesson learned.
We are still blessed, by looking at the plight of the people in ME who have had to flee for their lives or are dead.

This is intentional. Energy is the engine that drive commerce. He seeks to "put America in its place" and has constructed a lose, lose model for accomplishing that.
The Saudi Royal Family are pragmatists and businessmen. But they have an unruly “street” that they need to keep in line, preferably by placation.
I’m convinced that a big unspoken reason for the liberation of Iraq was to allow US/Western military forces to be withdrawn from Saudi Arabia, where they were both providing deterrant and containment of Saddam Hussein AND ticking off the Saudi “Street”
The Wahibbists, Islamists and Muslim Brotherhood scare them, and they see a lot of similarities between them and Egypt.
