Only the first time you’ve feared this?

I often ask God for the grace to be a faithful witness when and if I am ever faced with such a choice. I am not asking to be tested in such, but if that comes my way, please enable and empower me to stand firm, faithful and outspoken for Jesus.

“We are disappointed with the decision because we believe SMUG’s claims are firmly foreclosed, not only by the First Amendment right to free speech, but also by the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Kiobel, which eliminated Alien Tort Statute claims for events that allegedly occurred in foreign nations.”

What? This is what gets me. The pastor's lawyer lends legitimacy to this farce and responds like these are real charges worthy of a response. He is also said he is confident his Client will be vindicated? Well he doesn't have to be vindicated.

The lawyer should have stated the case is absurd and is not worthy of a response.

This should have been stopped back in the 1970s when the Dems put gayhood protection on its party platform. Foolish people in BOTH parties just keep following the clueless social leaders not giving a thought to the implications of where the gay agenda was going. Now you know where it is going and it will continue to go in more and more bizarre directions. Stop making excuses for them—NOW. And that means you mealy mouth Republicans as well. So you don’t think that social (moral) issues really matter?

Just consider this: If this is held up, every single ruling that has supported the liberals who claim to be a church, Westburo Baptist, is out the window and new claims can immediately be sought. SCOTUS doesn’t want to go anywhere near that stinkpot, and this is going to get overturned.

I'm sorry; I don't understand what you are saying in this paragraph. Would you please elaborate for a layman?

Does this mean I can sue somebody like Jerimiah Wright for preaching that white people are evil?

Very, very insightful post!

We are repeating history because we have failed to learn from it.

Anything “novel” (as in Not taught by classical Christian scholars) that promises an escape is fraught with danger.

My first thought when I head the rapture mentioned was “what if it doesn’t happen exactly as they say; what if everyone goes through the persecution?”

Since this is about the rights of foreigners over Christians the question needs answered.

Is Michael Posner a Christian? Or does he as a judge get to use his judicial power only to hurt Christians? That’s been the intent of many on the left for decades. They want to weaken and discredit Anglo Christians. Most of such rulings have benefited illegals, foreigners and non-Christians.

Try that, telling people though, and they go all childish and pretend to be horrified and suddenly incapable of understanding the English language.

Besides, it hurts the sale of survival stuff to entertain such ideas.

Or maybe some people are so far gone they only understand things that are marketed like toilet paper or laundry detergent with cute little animals as part of the marketing effort.

Maybe a cute stuffed demon like the BSD Demon laughing at the "prophecy parade" as it marches past with a banner full of crossed out dates and a prediction of when the Rupture is coming on it while the demon tosses people into an elevator labeled "Hell" would get the point across.

This will never hold up in the Supreme Court.

Kagan, Breyer Ginsberg. Anti=Christian bigots, every one. And did you read the anti-Christian vitriol in The Kennedy DOMA decision? When they come to close our churches it will be acceptance of martyrdom or recourse to the resources left us before they cancel the Second Amendment. The Constitution is dead.

By the way, I will defend with deadly force this pastor against the Sodomic hoards.

You gonna move in with him so you can defend him from the Sodomic hoards?

It won’t stop at sodomy. Sharia law is next. The fascist porkers are going to be sorry in the long run. Queers won’t do well in Islamic world government. The butt guy card will not trump the Islamic card.

“Most of them would not live to regret such a decision.”

Out of all the chickensh*t, cowardly responses on this thread, we have one lion.

I got your back. Semper fi, buddy.

Freedom of Speech is Dead when we let it be, not when an unelected judge says so. Jefferson was clear - our liberties are not subject to the will of man they are a right from our creator. WE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ABIDE BY UNCONSTITUTIONAL DICTATES...THE CONSTITUTION IS CLEAR.
