Prosecutors filed charges of bomb possession Friday against a recently crowned Utah beauty pageant winner.
Kendra McKenzie Gill was arrested last weekend with three accomplices for what one described as a prank. All four face the same set of four felony charges, prosecutor Blake Nakamura said Friday.
The 18-year-olds were arrested Saturday after driving around neighborhoods and allegedly tossing plastic bottles filled with caustic chemicals at people they knew. Nobody was injured.

When a box of sparklers and a roll of tape can get you charged with possessing “bomb making” materials, you know you have too many laws.
She really is quite attractive ...
Uh.
Er.
Um.
Sorry sweety. I'm all booked up. :^/
In the 70’s you had to do something serious to be arrested. When they caught kids being stupid in my hometown they would follow you home and then explain to your parents exactly what you had done. Sometimes they would stand there and make you confess to your parents.
I went to high school with a guy who was caught naked with his girlfriend in the back of a station wagon in a corn field. They were also drinking beer. An old farmer saw them and called the law because he had seen them before and he was tired of picking up their beer cans. The cops made them dress and then followed them back to her house. They made my friend admit the whole thing to the girls’ father, who just happened to be chief of police. They ended up marrying and having a bunch of kids. He also graduated from West Point. The entire trajectory of his life would have been different if he had been arrested and slapped with a DUI that night. I’m sure he wouldn’t have been admitted to West Point.
When constipation is a problem....switch to Metamucil.
This isn’t exactly harmless, got this from a friend a few years ago; kids were doing it...
Kids are putting Drano, tin foil, and a little water in soda bottles
and capping it up - leaving it on lawns. When you go to pick up the trash,
and the bottle is shaken just a little - in about 30 seconds or less it
builds up a gas and explodes with enough force to remove some of your
extremities. The liquid that comes out is boiling hot as well.
Don’t pick up any plastic bottles that may be lying in your yards or
in the gutter, etc. Pay attention to this. A plastic bottle with a cap. A
little Drano. A little water. A small piece of foil.. Disturb it by
moving it; and BOOM!! No fingers left and other serious effects to your
face, eyes, etc.
People are finding these “bombs” in mailboxes and in their yards,
just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the trash. But,
you’ll never make it!!! It takes about 30 seconds to blow after you move the
thing.
See “SNOPES” below — it’s true — the video at SNOPES shows the
Indiana State Police Bomb Squad detonating one — it’s truly horrifying!
..... .. I checked “Truth or Fiction” and “they” agree this is TRUTH!!! So
be warned and beware.

Yep. (and that works, too...but I won;t say how I know that.)
Yes. The worried/upset facial expression doesn’t do much for her, but she’d polish up well.
The scnerio you used is one that someone would do to be meanspirited or cruel. I doubt that what these kids set out to do.
The story doesn’t say what they used to pressurize the bottle, so I doubt that it was truly ‘caustic’. That word was used because if they said what was really used most people would laugh at the police.
Did they shoot the dog?
I’m not questioning the kids’ motives, whether they were just having innocent fun (puke) or malicious...what they were doing was stupid. It has been around for a few years and the person who sent it to me was from Houston, where there were some injuries.
1959 and Molotov cocktails.
Those were the days.
Motive does matter, if they were out to be malicious, felony charges are appropriate.
I’m reading this as just a bunch of 18 year olds do some stupid stuff, and while I’m sure you didn’t, there were a lot of us who did.
We realize that it isn’t right to be branded for life over something like this. In the world we live in, this could very well cost any one of those teenagers their life in the future.
“Im reading this as just a bunch of 18 year olds do some stupid stuff, and while Im sure you didnt”
Hey buddy, re-read my post...no need for you to make a personal jab...
“We realize that it isnt right to be branded for life over something like this.”
At 18...maybe stupid, but not ignorant.
You forgot to address the ‘costing them their lives ‘bit.
Well, you had some sense then. You didn’t toss it right at people, and you also flushed the toilet of your toilet cleaner before sitting... and certainly it was diluted with water at that point... you are stretching for what sounds like an excuse frankly.
And the reason I point this out is not to pound anybody down but to say GET SOME SENSE AND STOP IT....
Because I think it’s overstated.
In many states people with felony records cannot get concealed carry, or often even a gun.
If you don’t think concealed carry is important for personal safety, I’m glad you’re not heading up the organizations who lobby for it. Hopefully you do vote for politicians who support it.
Upthread you inferred that you had done crazy things in your youth. Would you give up your right to have a gun based on what you’ve done?
