At least two rockets slammed into an area south of Beirut that houses the Defense Ministry and presidential palace on Thursday night, Lebanons state-run news agency reported.
There were no casualties, according to the report.
It was not immediately clear who fired the rockets or from where. Eyewitnesses said one rocket fell only a few meters from an entrance to the presidential palace, according to the Associated Press.
Though nothing is yet confirmed, the incident may have something to do with the ongoing civil war in neighboring Syria which has spilled into Lebanon on more than one occasion.
Since the Syria civil war began more than two years ago, Syria-related tensions have soared in Lebanon, deepening sectarian rifts between Sunnis and Shiites.
Shiite Hizbullah openly supports the Assad regime and fights along his forces, while the Sunni-dominated opposition backs the rebels fighting it.
Several weeks ago, four members of Hizbullah were wounded in an ambush that targeted one of the group's convoys on an east Lebanon highway bordering Syria.
That incident came a week after after a car-bomb ripped through a Hizbullah stronghold in a suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, wounding dozens of people.
The Liwa'a 313 Brigade, a faction of the rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA), claimed responsibility for the bomb attack, lashing out a Lebanon for actively assisting Hizbullah. ....

Hizbullah Sets Up Banner Saying We Are Coming on Border with Israel
I’d set up a banner saying, “So’s Moshiach.”
I think the muslims put a lot of things on hold over Ramadan....it’s suppose to be a Holy time.... but of course ‘on their terms’ as we saw all the deaths this month in Egypt and elsewhere.
I can only speak for Egypt and it’s border countries, as I’ve pretty much lost all other news doing this .....but I can say everyones very touchy in that area now....doesn’t take much for tempers to flair....it’s all like the calm before the storm and anxieties are high....so much the pharmacists are having a run on sleeping pills and anti-anxiety pills in Egypt!
As for ObOZ0”zz birthday....who the heck cares...he’s absent all the time anyway ....and the International Leaders see him just that way.
BTW I stopped trying to ping you...sheesh it just doesn’t go no matter how I write your name.
THAT is one frighting bomb!!!
It’s one thing to see them “test” the things...another altogether when they are used in a war....imagine what it would be if all nations fired just one in a war....what’s one day coming will chill the world!
The Hizzies may succeed in redirecting the Syrian and Iranian thugs into war against Israel, but I doubt it. Without help, they’ll be bugs smashed on the windshield (again).

He sure is coming! And I don't believe Moshiach is an old, dead rabbi or a state of mind... He's coming to set up His capital in Jerusalem and the Third Temple will be a house of prayer for all nations. So little time and so much Hebrew to learn!
