MOSCOW -- In Russia it is now illegal to even speak about homosexuality around minors, much less openly display gay pride. Technically the ban is against "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations" around minors, but the implication for openly gay individuals is clear. Public displays of affection by gays, including holding hands or displaying symbols like a rainbow flag, are now banned. Violators face steep fines and jail time; foreigners face similar penalties plus deportation.
So what will happen to openly gay athletes and fans, as well as any vocal supporters or protestors, when Russia hosts the Winter Olympics next year in Sochi?

Other lands other customs. If they don’t like the rules..don’t play the game.
Would not be surprised if the US boycotts another Russian held Olympics over this.

Question! All cultures are equal as to what? e.g. all history of people, all political governments, all beliefs, etc.
What a silly question! They will be arrested and deported - if they are fast enough to run away from Cossacks and find some police to surrender to.

>>>Reading this article some might say, tongue-in-cheek; hey, the Bolsheviks weren’t all bad.<<<
In fact Bolsheviks has encouraged homosexuality, abortion etc. They were social liberals. It was actually Stalin who criminalized both in the 1930s in process of purging Bolsheviks, so you can count him as a social conservative in your own terms:-)
If this is so, then the Russian position is as valid as any other.
The Trouble with Multiculturalism (Are all cultures really equal?)
National Review ^ | 06/21/2012 | Clifford May
Multiculturalism insists that all cultures are equal and equally deserving of respect and celebration. It ignores the fact that freedom emerged and flowered in the West because of, Mansur writes, the unique transmutation of Western culture and civilization brought about by the Enlightenment and the new scientific method pioneered by Galileo. These influences subjected religion to the scrutiny of reason.

It's a mental illness or stems from mental illness.
Given that we can't salvage everyone, many can be cured with treatment to address gender identity disorder.
So I hope to learn more about this type of support being offered in conjunction with shutting down perverse behavior in Russia.
It needs to be done here.
