the obvious problem being the fire engine that has to respond to Chong’s House of Chop Suey...
reminds me of Quebec, everything gotta be French
Or how long is “House Of Whoopee” going to get to be up if it is in the Thai language?
They won’t pay for new signs ,, they will simply write “Chong’s House of Chop Suey” on a 3*5 card and tuck it in alongside the “store hours” sign.
“Modern Latin Alphabet” means that Spanish only signage would be permitted.
Much ado about nothing. SF has voting instructions and ballots, in 14 languages.
Monterey Park, CA : City Council is heavily asian, Monterey is a little ‘Chinese Beverly Hills’ they are doing this for the good of the city. Not a battle of the natives versus the asian transplants.

How about English only or go back where you came from.
Such a business probably wouldn't be found in Monterey Park. Chop suey, a dish created decades ago by Chinese immigrants, is disappearing from the menus of Chinese restaurants as as Sino-Americans increasingly want "authentic" Chinese food.
um... what??
lol
I'm at a lost, do you think its a book store? a massage parlor?
