FAA Administrator Will Not Be Attending The Show
FAA Administrator Michael Huerta will not be attending Oshkosh this year. And while he had a previous family engagement made months in advance, it is at the very least unfortunate timing given the ultimatum handed to EAA over air traffic control services for the show.

Knapinski said that there would be several legislators in attendance, including Congressman Tom Petri (R-WI), who represents the district that includes Wittman Regional Airport. Congressman Sam Graves (R-KS) is also likely to be at the show late in the week.
Knapinski said that NTSB chair Deborah A.P. Hersman was also not planning to make the trip to Wisconsin this year. However, NTSB Member Earl Weener will be holding a "Meet the NTSB" session on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. CDT in Pavilion 7. The NTSB will also do a series of daily morning safety programs at the Federal Pavilion. The sessions count towards FAA WINGS credit.
Many fear it is not a one time event, and they pulled this on a small fly-in in California as well.
It strikes me as the same cowardess that our Congresscritters exibited ( mainly Dem's ) when they couldn't stand the heat in the kitchen at the TownHall Meetings because of Obamacare...
Can't stand the heat of pilots telling you what they think, so they stay home...
“Aviation Ping List” please?

What, Air Force One isn’t going to be there? Are the engines worn out?
Fatigue in the Tail Section...
Last Sunday the pain started in the left kidney, indicating what I knew was happening, and seven interesting days and a few more hours, finally yesterday the little bastard was born.
The down side is no Oshkosh as work comes right after and all the work that should have been done while I was down and out with the kidney stone, still needs to be done. So I guess I will have to listen in to EAA radio and try to live the program in my absence. Just not the same. Oh woe is me. Believe I’ll eat some worms. This makes two years in a row I haven’t made it. Grrr. If you haven’t been and you have any love for aviation it is not to be missed at least once.
The last comment not for taildragger your sort of a regular.
