Why American Racism Is Impossible To Defeat
Townhall.com ^ | July 28, 2013 | Kevin McCullough

Despite all of the genuine hopes, by millions of people, of every tribe and tongue from every corner of this planet, an excruciatingly sad reality is being made perfectly clear.

The issue of race--and more specifically America's brand of racism--will never be defeated.

As the father of a multi-racial family, this reality strikes at the disappointment my soul feels about many things in our nation today, but none more personal.

Some who see the headline to this piece will immediately assume I've taken a position in this fight. Because I merely observe what is evident, and state my observation publicly. Some whites will believe I am attacking them. Many African-Americans will believe I am championing their grievances. The truth is neither, the truth is both, and the truth will never be admitted.

For it is impossible to cure a societal sickness, when parties don't wish for it to be cured!

And while there are some pockets where racial bias presents itself in the white to black reality of our culture, the overwhelming abusers of race, the manipulators of skin color, and the purveyors of hate based on ignorance and ill will--are actually those who claim they are fighting against it.

The case of Travon Martin's death is the complete evidence of that last assertion.

No where, was there an ounce of evidence that the man who shot Travon followed him, reported him, or defended himself against him--even for his very life--based on the color of Travon's skin. Yet "civil rights 'leaders'"--who in reality have more moral authority being a clown in a local circus than thoughtful and genuine purveyors of racial understanding--manipulated every element of fact in the case to convince the sleeping media--who refused to do their homework--that the man who shot Travon was racially motivated, racially biased, and hateful of races different than his.

None of which was proven in the elongated case, coverage during, or clownery following the conclusion.

Simply put, the Sharpton, Jackson, Holder, and Obama rhetoric--though stating it was dressed in compromise--actually was intended to incite further anger, resentment, and furtherance of the untruths told for months in the case.

So if the "civil rights 'leadership'" is throwing gas on the heated embers, how else will those--who choose not to investigate facts for themselves but accept these voices wholesale--react?

The accumulation of power in the minds of the four leaders mentioned above is more important than truly trying to find resolution, understanding, and accuracy.

Another bit of evidence in the matter is that when voices of reason do speak (i.e. Lisa Fritsch, Charles Barkley, Dr. William Cosby, et. al), based on seeing the facts for themselves and then urging calm they are shouted down. Or in Dr. Cosby's case--"Reverend" Jesse Jackson in a moment of candidness--utters desires to remove Cosby's anatomical manhood.

Also readily evident to any who would be honest is that when there are voices who point out that current solutions being touted for suffering neighborhoods are not working, squeals of "racism", come the same grievance inciters. So when a popular commentator on the largest news network points out the inconsistency of punishing a Latin American man harshly for an accidental death, while more or less ignoring the character, grooming, and integrity of African-American men who go on killing rampages in wholly African-American controlled neighborhoods is at a minimum hypocritical.

The truth--the cold hard truth--is that this cadre of voices (Sharpton, Holder, Jackson, Obama, et al.) benefit far more by practicing racism in theory, rhetoric, and actions, than by ever seeking honest resolutions. They continue to be propped up by those who keep themselves intellectually shallow of fact. And a handful of media outlets--mostly operated by NBC--seem to pander on the issue instead of seeking intellectually rigorous, heartfelt, passionate solutions to the problems that face the nation.

This combination of dishonesty, access, and support now furthers racist outcomes and those involved are directly contributing to the anger, vandalism, and violence that follows in its wake.

As the father of a son whose skin is darker than any of the men mentioned in this article, my fear is what consequences he faces, because of their vanity, selfishness, hubris, and greed.

See in order to end racism, you must not merely tolerate people who are different than you--but begin to truly honor, serve, and love them.

And it is the absence of honor in the character of today's "civil rights 'leaders'" that betrays their true intention: to practice racism, and to profit from it for themselves indefinitely.

Making it an issue that appears at present nearly impossible to defeat.

Human beings,ALL human beings, are hard wired to prefer the company of their own kind.Look at Japan...one of the most prosperous,peaceful,civilized...and homogeneous...nations on earth. And that last adjective goes a long way toward explaining the others.

Racism may never be eradicated, but, as soon as scientists figure out how to alter skin color by genetic manipulation, it’s going to be a lot harder to practice racism.

A handful???

Sheesh. That's part of the problem right there. Even the most intellectually gifted on our side minimize the problem.

Actually, I have reason to be optimistic that race hustling will go the way of the Dodo.

Once Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, et al go the way of the Dodo themselves.

I don't see any young Sharptons or Jackson waiting in the wings to pick up the mantel (mantle?) once they go their eternal reward.

Why American Racism Is Impossible To Defeat

I could have saved the author a lot of work and words:

Why American Racism Is Impossible To Defeat.... It Is Because The Wrong Race Is Being Called 'Racist'.

Wouldn't this be the second time Jackson has expressed this desire (the first time being towards obama)? Is this a weird fixation of his?

I have never before seen the word 'handful' used as a substitute for 'all of them'.

The author could advance his son's chances of being successful in life and avoiding the majority of race-related pitfalls, if he promotes (as likely he will) such character traits as Honor, Courage, Trust - gets him OUT of public school and sends him to a good secondary school to become a professional.

I work at a large software company where we are a mix of many races, not just black and white.
Asian, Indian, Black, White, European (is that a race?) - we all work together because we are all professionals and we all respect and value each other as such.

Skin color means nothing - unless you use it as an excuse to misbehave.

Well, we wouldn't want to paint with a broad brush now, would we? Someone might get "offended".

Nice point, but Arabs in the Arabian peninsula are the purest stuff around and they can’t get along with one another!

Furthermore, the Japanese were just as homogeneous in the years preceding WW2, but it didn’t make them very prosperous, peaceful, or civilized.

Because the Black Community and their so called “leaders” keep racism alive, it’s their meal ticket.

They accuse white’s of racism, but it’s the other way around.

Yeah, but can culture be genetically modified? I submit that racism would be on the verge of non-existence were it not for the black hip-hop/thug/gibsmedat belligerent, mean-spirited, militant mindset and culture. That is what's perpetuating racism.

Yes, there is racism in this country. It has been thriving for nearly 5 decades now. It was born with the passing of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and thrived under the multitude of laws, government programs, and ceaseless, CEASELESS admonishments regarding white privilege and whites’ hatred for blacks. It has done so under such a massive funding profile that would boggle the mind, yet it is still not enough for this law’s impact.

It bound a large number of blacks to entitlement programs and ruined their communities; ‘cultures’ grew out of this that include popular music’s disdain and abuse of women, law enforcement and white people in general. It grew organizations that think only of blacks, and what affects them. It further instilled in a majority of blacks that people of color are still victims of white man’s slavery, that they are OWED compensation and government preference and intercession on a perpetual basis. This administration is particularly adept at intercession when it is black to white and not the reverse.

No state (at least any southern state - read Republican controlled state government) shall have the right to decide its own voting practices and any blue state or black precinct is hands off for anything, even in the midst of proven fraudulent voting. They are perpetually punished, even in the recent wake of a countermanding Supreme Court decision.

In only 49 years, it has damned this country to neverending strife because it has given blacks the ‘honor’ of being perpetual victims of racism that just isn’t there. And they know it.

What? You’re saying the Gimme, gimme, gimme race should be called racist? Sorry Man, but that idea is ridiculous and just absolutely out of the question. The top minority race in the USA is never going to permit itself to be considered racist. Do you realize the thunderous changes that would occur if that were to happen? Nope, not in our lifetimes it won’t.

Well, I believe modifying culture calls for a sword*, but that’s just my humble opinion.

*substitute “plague,” “nuke,” “hellfire,” “asteroid,” “apocalypse,” as desired.

"Some who see the headline to this piece will immediately assume I've taken a position in this fight."

That's too bad. Every example of fanning the flames of race hatred the author cites, comes from Blacks, who benefit from race hustling. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, AG Holder and President Obama ALL benefit from race hustling. The author noted that Blacks who went against the race incitement have been attacked, pilloried for their blasphemy; Bill Cosby, Charles Barkley and Lisa Fritsch(?).

There are no white race hustlers . . . . yet. Let this one-sided demonization go on and on, you will get white race hustlers. Ignore Black mobs attacking non-Blacks, ignore Blacks playing the "knockout game" and demonize any White person (or White Hispanic), who defends himself and you're putting flames on the fire. This is the goal of the race hustlers. There's money and power in it for a few of the hatred inciters.

Obviously, this does nothing to improve the condition of Black Americans. Who cares? The Black Greivance industry wants to keep Blacks poor, angry and ignorant. White Americans have been terrorized to keep their mouths shut. Bill O'Reilly stepped up the other day and he's gotten slammed.

This situation cannot continue in this way. And things that cannot continue will not. I'm awaiting the appearance of a White politician, who decides that attacking the Blacks may end up being good politics and the way to win elections. That's the next step in this travesty. The legacy media's all in. They ain't gonna change. They may collapse, but since only White People can be racist and the Media is anti-racist, they won't change their tune.

The Norfolk newspaper had two of their reporters attacked by a Black mob. Did that Newspaper change? Nope. They covered up the attack. That's how sick the media is and how far their heads are stuck up their rectums. Ain't gonna change. Can collapse and be replaced, but change? Nope.

The Democrat party profits by crying racism. The only way to stop this kind of behavior is to dismantle the Democrat party.
