Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Friday that the McCain campaign in 2008 prevented her from talking about Barack Obama's controversial background or his lack of job experience for fear "the media would eat us alive."
Fox News's Greta Van Susteren responded by saying, "I think at some point [people are] going to look at us in the media and think we're just a bunch of fools. We don't have any credibility anyway"
SARAH PALIN: The only fans that aren't going to bail on this stall play that we're all observing is still the media, the mainstream media. They're going to stick with this because they're part of the problem, and it's going to be to the detriment of the profession of journalism, and it will be to the detriment of a free America as we know it!
And we saw what happened back in 2008 -- I believe that's when it started -- when the media decided to just go along to get along with Obama, ingratiating themselves with him and vice versa. What we saw was these attempts to destroy the whistleblowers, those who were telling the truth even in the campaign, those who were bringing up the name Jeremiah Wright and the racist church that he leads that Obama was a member of for over 20 years.

She told us a few years ago.
Bump!
:D
Old news to anyone paying attention. But too many people just lay back and ignore anything they don’t hear the talking heads tell them on the comic news shows.
So, it bears repeating. Not that a whole lot of libs are going to be listening to Sarah and Greta on Fox News. But maybe a few. Who knows?
Then she should have done us all a favor and quit the race after speaking her mind. The press ate her alive anyway and ruined her political career.
Baloney.
Palin is 100% viable.
She stood down last time, at the peak.
What a double-crossing, insane mad-dog blithering idiot McCain is. I am highly ashamed for Arizona for having put this man in office. I’d have expected better from its citizens.
So the McCain campaign decided to kowtow to the liberal media that was serving the interests of the obama campaign. Brilliant strategy. And we all saw how that came out.
Obama can bluster and rant, trying to transform America into a third world hellhole.
But many of us are grateful for your persistence.
Just as Obama is in trying to make a silk purse out of the First Affirmative Action African American "I didn't do that, not responsible" president.
Yep ... agreed.
The media ate Sarah alive anyway, and the GOPe McCain machine enabled them to do it.
And no doubt Sarah knew this was an insane policy, which alone , makes her qualified to exist in the upper echelons of conservative politics.
No Republican or non democrat candidate will EVER win the General election if they are EVER fearful of the media.
And I’m fairly certain she stood down because of threats, probably to her children.
Leftist politicians and their allies will kill. If there’s one thing the last few years has shown us, that’s it.
So you didn't, and they ate you alive ANYWAY!
Great observation.
Palin stood aside, I believe, due to having a family looking to her for guidance.
I could be wrong, but I believe last go-around Palin stood down, due to her family.
I believe they will all be four years older this time, and I believe (hope sincerely) Palin is currently mustering up the strength to make a series run in 2016.
Palin stood aside at the very peak.
Herein lies the problem with the GOP: LEADERS do not fear.
Sarah certainly doesn't.
We should be buying ads on the lib-loved pro-homo shows and on MSDNC and the lamestream "news" programs. Expose 'em to the truth; it might at least raise questions in their so-called minds.
I sometimes wonder how Reagan won two landslide elections.
Back in Reagan’s day, talk radio as we know it today didn’t exist, and there was no internet as a counter weight to the mainstream media.
Was the media not so blatantly liberal back then? Or were more Americans able to see through manipulation and propaganda? Are we more dumbed down now, so the media and Obama can say anything, repeat big lies and all that, and people lap it up?
It’s amazing to think that Reagan was governor of California. That state has become so Democrat you wonder if Reagan could get elected there today.
