President Obama is calling on federal agencies to use volunteers to accomplish their tasks as part of a larger effort to boost community service throughout the country.

The White House issued an executive order Friday -- Expanding National Service through Partnerships to Advance Government Priorities -- to establish a task force charged with improving national service and volunteering. The initiative seeks to align the American people

Partnerships to Advance Government Priorities

The task force will develop public-private partnerships to expand national service.

But of course. Values ("priorities") dictated by government edict = forced worship of i.e. prostration to Fedzilla.

That's what happens when people feast upon and embrace lies. A partnership implies an agreement and arrangement between equals. Who in their right mind thinks that any private entity can function as a co-equal with the beast system? The beast system makes the laws. All compromise is the responsibility of the subservient. It's a master-servant relationship with willing servants who allow the government to determine (draw or erase) their moral boundaries. Greedy for power and validation, they demand that the rest of us do the same.

Those who resist and steadfastly insist that their value system is not dictated by government is going to be (if not already) marked for destruction by the beast system.

Today it is the wedding cake bakers who refuse to bake cakes for fake and perverse government-invented "marriages". Tomorrow the list will include all those who won't adopt whatever debased "government priorities" (values) the beast demands compliance to next.

...so each of the local government administrators can continue to rake in hundreds of thousands per year and keep an eye out for regulatory violations and violations of political correctness (revenues/debt)? It won't go on forever. There's not enough production of useful things (real revenues) to support them, and no one wants to pay each local, designated, approved landlord (kingpin) for zoned space to run a small manufacturing operation.

We'll languish in the decline, until folks start minding their own business and staying out of the way of real workers. And when it's all said and done, lowtechs will rule.

It was in the Executive Order from March 16, 2012 that they can require you to do civil service.

And the language in the Memo calls it “Career Civil Service”.

That's a good point, but bipartisan, government-paid NIMBYs have effectively outlawed all kinds of truly productive work (making parts, doing repairs, etc.) with environmentalist, animal-worship and zoning regulations to support their declining property values and general coveting tendencies. They've done so with local governments, even in the middle of nowhere.

I'm not on welfare. But I, for one, plan to start producing something more useful (machining, fab, etc., in a cheap, little redneck shop with no class), after the busybody NIMBYs lose their regulatory jobs, pensions and political pull in the default process. They're commies, all (and lazy). I'll do so, when there's no such thing as an impact fee. I'll do so, when it's no longer against the law for a man to work on his own property without paying thousands of dollars in legalized extortion fees, "industrial park" rent and the like.

Agree with you 100%. The government has made it all but impossible to earn your own living. People used to flock to the US because we were one of the few nations that not only allowed that but encouraged it.
