"They fear that the development and building of People's (community) Organizations is the building of a vast power group which may fall prey to a fascistic demagogue who will seize leadership and control and turn an organization into a Frankenstein's monster against democracy." - Saul Alinsky responding to his critics, Reveille for Radicals; p. 199
When Saul Alinsky began building his community-organization movement in 1930s Chicago, observers were watching Alinsky with one eye, while with the other eye observing the building of communist and fascist movements in Europe. It wasn't hard then to see in Alinsky's programs at home, elements of the people's revolution from Russia, as well as some of the same "in your face" tactics being employed by Hitler's Brownshirts.
What Alinsky's critics saw was the burgeoning of a national movement, the carefully manipulated construction of people's organizations, which all had two elements in common: (1) a collectivist creed, which denied the existence of personal responsibility; and (2) an amoral dogma, in which all means were justified by an imaginary utopian end.
While most modern Americans remember well Hitler's Holocaust and the Cold War waged by a solid U.S.S.R., many of these same Americans have swallowed some false history regarding the movements that spawned such widespread, horrendous results. In what may be regarded as the most triumphant propaganda victory of our time, fascism has been scrubbed of all its Marxist roots, while communism has been scrubbed of its millions of callous murders.

Good article. Not so much about about Obama, but libs/progressives in general and their Alinsky tactics. Conservatives need to start using the Alinsky playbook.
Old but choice.
Thank God someone else is calling him what he really is, a FASCIST, and you can only be a liberal aka socialist fascist...
My opinion exactly.
For instance, when some idiot school administrator calls the police on a kid for biting a pop tart so it looks like a pistol, EVERY kid in the school should be prompted by their PARENTS to do exactly the same thing.
Overwhelm the system. Kid gets suspended for wearing an NRA T-shirt, next day, every kid should go to school with the same damn shirt.
Like to see the morons arrest about one or two hundred kids.
Its just TOO easy. I don’t know why parents don’t do it.
My favorite: hold a “flash cops and robbers mob.” At a designated time, all students break out into a cops n robbers game. Finger guns and loudly shouted “bang bangs” for all around. (Just don’t allow the ‘cops’ to ‘frisk’ the ‘robbers’.”
The “system” would collapse in very short order.
What happened to American boldness?
Everyone is also to cowed by political correctness and the fear of "offending someone". Yesterday, a local talk show host (Michael Berry) was going on about Detroit going bankrupt, and how Romney was castigated for saying they should go bankrupt in 2012. It is pointless IMO to go on about media bias. It is real and it is here to stay. When Romney was confronted with criticism over his Detroit remarks, and when he was confronted with the secret taping of his 47% remarks, he should have said "Damn right I said that, because it's true!". He might have motivated his base and won an election. But, he preferred the cowardly "I'm sorry if I offended anyone" approach that the GOP always takes.
We need to take the gloves off for a bare-knuckle street fight with the 'rat thugs.
