Let’s see....I think I learned from Ben Cartwright, or John Wayne, or whoever was playing Wyatt Earp at the time....

“Innocent until proven guilty.” That simple rule of law was set early and thrived through 2,000 years of the Roman-Anglo-American judicial experience....until just recently.

Burned in my mind are the various depictions of Wyatt Earp facing down the howling mob that wanted to lynch some poor soul. Wyatt used reasoned argument punctuated with a double barrel 10 gauge coach gun hammers thumbed back and ready for business.

“I’ll see this man gets a fair trial tomorrow....or see you in Hell directly.” or something like that.

And the various knockoffs of that manly story in many many other horse operas.

But alas, those fine westerns were mere morality plays....and I am naive enough still to believe them.

It has become very scary.

Something akin to the “Fairness Doctrine” might someday prevent any reporting contrary to what comes from pre-approved media outlets.

This is very scary.

The media picked a random incident, blew up it out of proportion, lied about the incident, lied about a person involved in the incident to the point where the person could have gone to jail the rest of his life. All to advance a agenda and to get ratings.

And that's just the media. The people in the judiciary system broke laws, like the pretrial discovery process in order to get Zimmerman because they thought it would further their careers.

The only conclusion that I can draw from all of this is that media and the government is being run, for the most part, by a bunch of sociopaths who will destroy anyone to help themselves and their careers.

You say he was lying, I say he was bluffing. Poker players bluff all the time.

There are situations in which cops can lie. One such situation is in an interview when a suspect thinks he has gotten away with a crime. A bluff "lie" has tripped up many suspects who really WOULD have gotten away with a crime.

We were belittled for challenging his ‘birth certificate’ which he finally came forward with.

We were belittled for being disgusted with Michelle Obama pushing herself into every part of American life she could.

We were belittled for ‘clinging to our ‘bibles-guns- and traditions’.

We were belittled for challenging Holder’s dismissal of sentences against the CONVICTED Black Panthers who intimidated voters at 2008 polling places.

We were belittled over the thousands of illegal voter registration cards that Obama’s own organization ACORN put into place for the 2008 election.

We have been belittled over voter fraud—yet in some precincts Romney didn’t receive ONE SINGLE VOTE!!! NOT ONE!!

One of the most important, and remarkably under-publicized facts that came out at trial is that one of the detectives, while interrogating Zimmerman at the police station that night, told him that the entire incident had been caught on surveillance video. The detective was bluffing, but Zimmerman didn’t know that. His reaction: “Thank God”.

I agree with your post, but I wouldn't say that the media's intentional lying in and overhyping of the Zimmerman case was just an attempt to demonize guns. It was that, but it was mainly an attempt to keep alive the narrative of evil, racist white America. That narrative had been losing some steam lately because any reasonable person can see that white people are the most accomodating, tolerant people; but despite that racism today is directed at them. Thus, the media trumped up a narrative of an evil, racist, white Hispanic killing an innocent black boy, and then evil, racist, white jurors acquitting based on race. The media and Democrats need to keep that narrative alive to rile up the increasingly non-white Americans to vote against the evil, white, racist GOP. The media and the Democrats know these lies are leading to mob attacks and violence against white people, but they do not care.

I admit when I first heard of this case a year ago I was scammed by a leftist who posted a Hatepo link about it on a different site. Then I thought, leftists always run with half truths half of the story and lies. The more I researched on my own the more I realized this was a self defense case.

The teachers’ unions are; they are the ownership of the Democrat party. Everything done there is at their behest; if Red China launched a missile attack on the West Coast Obama would dither in his response but very clearly state we need to hire 100,000 more teachers.
