Gov. Cuomo says he understands the outrage over the weekend acquittal of George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin.

"We have a system and we follow the system and that's what we've done here," Cuomo said during an appearance on Long Island.

"I think I share the outrage at the apparent travesty of justice, but that is the system that we have," Cuomo said.

"I understand the outrage and the feeling that the system failed in this case."

Have their been any governors, representatives, senators, state attorneys general, etc. that have come out calling the verdict welcome, or at least fair, and praising the jury for their decision?

There have been a few, but the low-infos will never hear about them. NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and HLN don't want to know them right now.

I’m relieved to hear that. I’ll wait patiently to discover who they are.

So let me get this straight, St. Skittles acted as most 17 year old hoodlum wanna bees do, he took the challenge from Zimmerman as an opportunity to show his thug bona fides. He didn't keep on walking, he circled back, insulted Zimmerman, assaulted Zimmerman FIRST by throwing a punch and breaking his nose, he wrestled with Zimmerman, got on top of him, slammed his head into the concrete with the intention to at least severely injure him and worst to kill him. GZ was by any measure in danger of his life REGARDLES of what imagined provoking he did. GZ lawfully discharged his pistol into St Skittles and well that ended that. So genius Cumomo what was the travesty? Oh I see there is another set of laws for blacks now, you should be able to beat someone to death regardless, they cannot defend themselves with deadly force, they are to take their beating, and by proxy the coma and severe head trauma is enough punishment for 400 years of slavery.

I think and whats not been said is black America is feeling it got a bit of an as* kicking in this. That for once there sanctioned thuggery was met with the full force of the law and the Mullato joke on Pennsylvania Avenue was not able to circle a square. For one brief moment their was a pushback on rap thug culture, that we are not sheep to massacre whenever you feel like it. Regardless of the evidence, the 200+ years of legal tradition, in this case, all that should have been put aside and well GZ should hve just been hung, killed by the state because well Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton wanted it so.

It seems clear from the outcome and reactions, that liberals are outraged, shocked, in disbelief at the verdict.

The problem with liberals is that they focus issues such as racism into a case like this. While tragic that a young man was killed, it was wrong for Sharpton and all the rest of them to make this a liberal cuase celebre about racism against blacks.

Democrats want their own set of laws.

If they get their own set of laws then we get our own set of laws.
They're not going to like anarchy as much as they think they will.

This worse-than-useless commentary comes from the man who insisted people should be sold houses which they couldn't possibly afford, when he was head of HUD.

Cuomo is a primary inflator of our housing bubble.

That's because when it comes to the law, facts and evidence should not matter.

It's how the FEEL about the perp and victim that matters.

But they are not racists, and don't you DARE say that they are!

The biggest travesty comes from people like the governor who stand on top of Trayvon’s casket and use him as a political tool. They don't give a damn about dead young black men. If they did care they would have an honest discussion about the epidemic of black on black murders. These cowards won't ever do that because it would expose the democrat policies that cause most inner city problems.

“apparent travesty of justice”

The prosecution present their evidence, the defense countered with theirs and the jury deliberated and determined that the defendant be acquitted. How is that a travesty of justice? Then who is to blame for the outrage, the prosecution, the defense or the jury?
