Gov. Cuomo Calls Acquittal In Trayvon Martin Death Case 'Apparent Travesty Of Justice'
nydailynews.com ^ | July 15, 2013

Posted on 07/15/2013 12:03:46 PM PDT by Tailgunner Joe

Gov. Cuomo says he understands the outrage over the weekend acquittal of George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin.

"We have a system and we follow the system and that's what we've done here," Cuomo said during an appearance on Long Island.

"I think I share the outrage at the apparent travesty of justice, but that is the system that we have," Cuomo said.

"I understand the outrage and the feeling that the system failed in this case."

‘Apparent Travesty Of Justice’

Nice political use of words. I see what he did there (key word is “apparent”).

It is only apparent to those who did not follow the actual content of the trial.

Guess what, idiot! The majority of Americans AGREE with George Zimmerman and these p*ssies in NYC can stuff it. This is a local Florida case. IS THERE NOBODY TO STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT ANYMORE?

Everyone who is not black should be frightened as hell over what this government is doing to GZ. EVERYONE.

The problem is nobody with the guts to say the right thing. Lots of dems could be voted out of office if a republican would run on one issue “The verdict was right! Zimmerman is not a murderer!” And run ads on Telemondo.

Even my liberal pals are agreeing with the verdict. Oh yeah, the whine about poor little Trayvon and Cowboy George but at least they admit the case was weak (even a joke)

That the self serving pols are failing to respect the jury’s decision contributes only further to the division and alienation. Violence against whites will result from this, mark my word.

There’s another azzhole who needs his head bashed into the sidewalk so he can see first hand if lethal force might be required to make the bashing stop. Of course, he wouldn’t have to apply the lethal force himself, he’s got armed security detail for that. But for the rest of us, we don’t need no stinkin’ guns. Second Amendment? That’s not for the little people.

What a demagogue.

But then, he may be trying to qualify for a job with MSNBC, if he is defeated for reelection.

It is becoming ever more clear that the Left is totally at war with the most basic American premise, that of maximizing individual responsibility for dealing with societal problems. They hate the 2nd Amendment, of course, and they hate the idea of citizen participation in maintaining law & order. Thus the crime rate tends to be highest in communities with the most Leftwing political leadership. The fact is that law & order responds to the same dynamic as the market economy--that is it benefits from the greatest degree of personal involvement by responsible people.

That the Governor of New York would appeal to a lynch mob mentality over a Court case in another State says a great deal, indeed, about the rising level of fanaticism on the Left.

It’s perspective. As a ‘white-Hispanic’, you know that made-up media term for their dim-witted viewers to help those viewers in their parroting, as a member of that group I’m amazed that with the power of the State-from the White House, to the DOJ, from the Fl. governor’s office, to the Fl AG’s, in a biased somewhat corrupt politicized justice system against 1 ‘white-Hispanic’, that a ‘brown brother’ could obtain justice.

Just curious:

Have their been any governors, representatives, senators, state attorneys general, etc. that have come out calling the verdict welcome, or at least fair, and praising the jury for their decision?

Or have we just heard from the race pimp politicians like Cuomo on the subject?

I haven’t read about any of the former, but a good half-dozen or so of the latter.

You know, it strikes me that nearly every public person from politics to entertainment feels compelled to makes similar statements.

I think it stems from needing to be seen as a higher thinker, morally righteous and present a public image that can’t be assailed.

It’s self serving and ignores the facts...
