Why not let them change the names of their parents, too?
Why not just do away with birth certificates entirely?

You know, I think I’d like to re-identify from male to “OMGYOUGOTTABEKIDDINGME!”
To: markomalley
That does not change the fact that one pair of chromosomes is either XX or XY.
Insane deluded mutilants.

So any many could change it to female, then apply for whatever benefits or affirmative action? A bunch of men could take over a battered women’s shelter, etc.?
To: markomalley
Well, it really depends on what the meaning of he/she is.
Why not just use the term ‘it’ since that is what IT is?

The bill also ends the practice of marking birth certificates as amended, and states that a new birth certificate will be issued and the original birth certificate sealed. Sealed? They think they can go back and time or something? They can do whatever they want with their paperwork but the census documents wont change and people themselves will know who had the surgery. There should be public website identifying people who have undergone this surgery so everyone knows who these people are.

What a load of horsesh!t. Can they change their race and parents as well? That would be cool. Oh, wait—that’s what our President did...

Chaos.Yes. All part of a century-long plan. When you can declare yourself to be something you're not and government obliges society to go along with your lie, only chaos can result.

How about just calling themselves ‘freaks’???
How will insurance companies categorize these people?
Bad enough that most commercial buildings in the future will have to have a 3rd bathroom designation.

How will this affect DNA evidence in police investigations, if everything else on police databases says the person is the opposite sex?
