Of course, I see absolutely no problem here. After all, good union public school teachers are never involved with abuse...

Really, the only solution I can see is what the Egyptians are doing. (And in Turkey, Bulgaria and Brazil; I think a few more are percolating.) When layers of government are being run by utterly corrupt immoral power mad psychopaths, elections are rife with criminal fraud, and millions of gov employees who although powerful are not even elected so there is not even the pretense of trying to get rid of them, what other choices do we have to turn this around? Let me know if anyone has any ideas! I've run out of ideas and other than mass street protests, civil disobedience and national strikes, I can't think of anyhting!

Anyone wanting on/off any of my ping lists, freepmail me.

Ping to both homeschool lists as anyone in CA who is even considering public education for any reason needs to know about this.

Governmental entities have always had the option to choose sovereign immunity to avoid lawsuits but this just enshrines the public sector as “more equal”. These are swine on parade.

Another term that needs changing. Let's call "public schools" what they are:

GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS

- places you never want to send your kid, at least in CA.

This will head to higher courts. The liberals in Kali might as well say, “No one can sue the State for anything, no matter what.”

The numbers and types of sexual and physical abuse that have gone on in America’s public schools would make the Catholic Church scandals seem like a candle next to a searchlight. Or would if the public was ever allowed to hear about them all.

California Senate Bill 131, which is ostensibly about protecting victims of child sex abuse, forces private schools to defend claims of sexual abuse as far back as 40 years ago, but exempts public schools from such claims.

Equal protection being what it is here in the Gorgon State.

I guess some are more equal.

The reason they are doing this is because the must teach gay and what ever history and kow tow to the queer agenda and recently they said k-12 students may declare whatever they say they are and participate on teams and other activities accordingly. Consequently, as you tell children deviancy is ok and provide a vehicle for them to become closer to one another, i.e., sports and potentially locker rooms. etc, all sorts of wild things are going to happen and the schools and state seek to wash their hands of it.

Heck, SF was billing the gay pride parade as a family event! Total Sodom and Gommora.

I find it amazing, OK not REALLY knowing this DOJ, how CA can steadily chip away at the Constitution and Citizen Rights w/out so much as a ‘by your leave’

So much for the equal protection of Laws. I suspect the local media will whitewash it anyway.

Unions... I live near the infamous Miramonte School - where there are several cases of abuse by public school teachers. The L.A. unified school district is pressuring the parents to settle for half a million. My question: if public schools can’t be sued for abuse prior to 2009 - why can’t the Teacher’s Unions who cover for abusers be sued? SB 131 is supported by the teachers’ union. Why not a taste of their own medicine? Abuse lawyers who regularly sue the Catholic Church and groups like SNAP (a professional victims’ group) have no interest in help a child abused in a public school because there’s no money to be made.

Jim Beall (author of SB 131) is connected to Planned Parenthood a real enemy of the Catholic Church. Beall has gotten awards from P.P. in the past. The other co-sponsor is Ricardo Lara - a gaystapo (the same one who wants to take tax exemption from the boy scouts) because they don’t share his “values”. It’s good to know from where this bill originates...

“The bill’s authors are Democratic State Senator Jim Beall, who was Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s 2011 Legislator of the Year and Democratic State Senator Ricardo Lara.”

- What, are Beall and Lara getting contributions from NAMBLA?

Is the same bill or not that allows “trannies” to use the shower and bathroom of their choice?
