A federal judge dismissed a suit from a Guantanamo detainee who argued that the government will infringe upon his religious freedom by force-feeding him during the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, which begins Tuesday.

Absolutely, force-feeding should be banned. If they’re really serious about hunger-striking, test them by having a barbeque outside their cells. Let ‘em get reeeeeallllly hungry... then offer ‘em a grilled pork chop.

Don’t force feed them.
Set a nice, balanced vegetarian (since they’re all aflutter about certain meats) before them at reasonable times of day, and pick up unused portions an hour later. Provide them sufficient water in containers not easily converted to weapons. Remove the containers at regular, reasonable intervals.
If they choose not to eat and drink, that’s their problem.
Letting them starve to death in peace is much more humane than forcing them to stay alive when they desire to go to lunch with their 72 virgins or raisins or whatever.
Disposing of the dead Mohammedans is not cheap but it is a one time occurrence per each and ultimately much cheaper than continuing to force feed them.
It’s great that Judges are using purely “legal”, non-interpretive terms like, “degrading.” No influence there....
