I think those who don’t see this coming or want to see it coming, either a political revolution or a social one, have their heads in the sand. The pressures have been building over many years. Your courage is remarkable. Sometimes the best weapon we have is situational awareness...and if you’re in those neighborhoods, you likely already know the steps to take and alternate routes to get out of those streets if you spot or hear of trouble.
It took Mother Green and her “fighting machine” to return civility to LA after the rodney king fiasco... and it will be no different in Florida. Those that were not hurt or killed were well armed and protected themselves and their property with deadly force.

What does Trayvon Martin have to do with a man who beat and robbed a woman in New Jersey?
I understand Zimmerman being found not guilty, but I don’t understand the connection you are making.
From what I have read, Martin was found to be in possession of pot on one occasion and a tool that could be used for burglary in another. Haven’t heard of anything else in his past.

As I state on another thread: The fragile minority communities are going to riot at some point. Anything could set it off. In an odd sort of way, it would be better if those riots happened when police and community officials are ready for it....clear the air and lock up the trouble makers.
Yeah, it can get scary sometimes. Especially the actual look of hatred I see on faces for this middle aged white woman to be there. But I just pray my angels surround me and have faith in God. And also pay attention. It if seems too sketchy, I will leave and request a co worker to come with me.
If the parents are not responsible for their child... who is? His parents brought trayvon into the world... they raised him... they infected him with hate and racism... allowed him to become radicalized in gangster culture... they enabled it all through their inaction and they allowed him to flourish in evil.
Sanford, Florida, is part of Seminole County. The Sheriff of that county is Donald F. Eslinger.
I would highly recommend to him that as Sheriff, he has the authority to request that all citizens of good character be prepared to defend their homes and businesses against acts of riot and violence. Also that corporations increase their number of armed security personnel at their branch offices in the county.
Likewise, as Sheriff, he can, as circumstances dictate, declare a curfew. While there is no reason to suppress peaceful protest, he should also make it a point to remind protesters that Florida has an “anti-mask” law, and that donning a mask makes its wearer subject to arrest.
For many clearly obvious reasons, rioting and looting whould not be a good move for American Blacks to undertake. Trayvon Martin is getting a fair trial and will receive justice under the law or be proven liable for his own death. The six women on this jury have both Martin’s & Zimmerman’s fate in their hands. Many radical Black racist leaders are calling for violence against Whites, if the verdict does not go their way. I would suggest that leaders of the Black communities and people condemn these suggested actions. This “race” game is getting a bit old!!! Threatening innocent people, regardless of race, is no way to go through life!!!
Well, everyone knows that when you are trapped in a flooding city you absolutely MUST have a large screen TV! Did you expect them to steal boards and build an ark or something?
