The Boston Marathon bombing by the Tsarnaevs is not the first notable attack upon Americans by Eastern European Muslims. In 2007, a young Bosnian Muslim named Sulejman Talovic opened fire in the Trolley Square mall in Salt Lake City, killing five people and seriously injuring another four before being taken out by officers.

There will be more to come, as long as we keep observing the modern world’s sick obsession with multiculturalism.

As he was killing his victims, Talovic repeatedly proclaimed that Allah was great, and the night before the massacre he told his girlfriend that “something is going to happen tomorrow that you’ll never be able to forgive me about.” He also said that the day will be “the happiest day of his life and that it could only happen once in a lifetime.”

Prior to settling in America, Talovic had a hallucination in Bosnia of a white horse with “two beautiful eyes,” imagery which is emphatically Islamic.

Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev may be out of the way, but this should not make us believe that the Islamic threat is gone, or that the world is now safer.

Now is not a time to celebrate, but to study our enemy assiduously. The Tsarnaevs are from Chechnya, a nation of the Caucasus region. Now that the brothers are becoming household names, Americans should inquire into two of the most focal points of Islamic jihad: the Caucasus and the Balkans. Though much of the region remains Christian today, a sizable portion is Muslim, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Dagestan, and, of course, Chechnya.

The Balkans and the Caucasus harbor by far the most fanatic of all Islamic fundamentalists.....

That's a broad brush.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has swathes of Croatian and Serbian densities which are not Moslem

Albania proper (outside Kosovo) is Moslem in name only -- most follow what their former king Zog preached "whatever your faith, your religion is Albanianism" and the number of those calling themselves Moslem drops each census. in Albania-proper the urge has been since the 20s to distance themselves from Turks and so the rejection of Islam

In Kosovo that's a different "other" -- Christian Serbs. Remember that Serbs/Croats are Slavs while Albanians are not, so any more reason to distance themselves from "the other" is taken

In the case of Dagestan and Chechnya this is very apparent -- there were inroads of Christianity (thanks to two ancient Christian states of Georgia (Sakartvelo) and Armenia (Hayestan) - the names in the () are what they call themelves in their own languages

Anyway, Christianity moved into these north caucasian peoples and they were still heavily pagan/shamanistic until the 18th century when the Russians started moving in (more about this in the next post) and to prevent their Russification to a large extent they adopted Islam -- Sufiism. They were radicalised during the 19th century

About Russification

Note that I don't subscribe to the theory of those who are still hung-up about the cold war and persist in seeing Russia as the evil empire. I believe that we have a lot more in common and should be wary allies -- and I also agree with the Russians that Sunni Islam is a danger and it's better to egg on the Shias to fight Sunnis

Anyway, back to topic :) what we call "Russification" is really "Muscofication" -- the ancient East Slavic "confederation" of Kievan Rus was not Muscowite in temperament or culture. It was more decentralized and less autocratic and it was heavily influenced by both Byzantine and Germanics through Poland while maintaining it's separate status.

But then the Mongols came and conquered and disrupted the state forever

As Mongol power waned, the north-western part of Kievan Rus came under Lithuanian control and then Polish (under the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth), the southern part was first depopulated and then came under Polish, Crimean Tatar and Cossack control with an amalgamated culture and the north-eastern portion came under Muscowite control when the Grand Duke of Moscow agreed to becoming the tax collector for the Mongol Khagan.

It is my opinion that the Muscowite tendency for autocratic rule derives from the Mongols and many Russian historians nowadays look favorably on Mongol rule and see the Russian Empire as an extension of the Mongol -- and Moscow's GRand Duke came up with the idea of "collecting of the Rus" i.e. that it was Moscow's manifest destiny to collect the Rus lands

this had an additional dimension added in when Constantinople fell. Now the Grand Dukes of Moscows called themseves Caesar's (Tsar) and took on the mantle of war against Islam and also collecting ALL the Orthodox people together. They maintained this belief until 1918 and arguably it remained even in Soviet minds (not of the Orthodox peoples but conquering Istanbul and Eastern/Central Europe)

In the meanwhile the BiałoRussians (white Russians or Belarussians) developed more "democratically" under Lithuanian rule which was hardly as strong as Moscow's and then in the highly decentralized Polish-Lithuanian state.

The Ukrainians (or Ruthenians as they initially were called -- btw "Ruthene" is the Latin version of "Rusyn" or "Russian) developed even more "democratically" as they were a frontier state -- U kraina in Slavic languages means "on the edge"

Moscow spent the 1600s battling to the east taking over vast Tatar Khaganates and then turned West to wrest the rest of the Rus lands from the "Germanics" and their "Polish subordinates". They succeeded in 1793 when Poland disappeared from the map

it was during this same period that they pushed themselves south into the Caucasus

Mid-1800s with the rise of nationalism inEurope where France attempted to destroy non-French languages (like Breton, Gascon, Corsican, etc) and the English did the same to Cornish, Manx and attempted to do the same to Gaelic, Scottish and Welsh), the Russians did the same to their extended empire.

pre-1848 to be "Russian" was to be a subject of the Tsar, so whatever your nationality was ok.

But post-1848, the focus was on Russification -- you had to speak Russian only and be Russian Orthodox.

This was the same period when other nationalities were doing the same, so the Russians were not doing something unusual, the only difference was that thanks to Russia's dismembering of the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth and it's conquering of the Crimean Tatars and the Caucasus it suddenly had an influx of non-Russian, non-Russian orthodox. It had Catholic Poles and Lithuanians, Calvinist/Lutheran Baltic Germans, Mennonite Volga Germans, Armenian Orthodox Armenians, Georgian Orthodox Georgians, Moslem Tatars, and loads and load of Jews (the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth in 1792 had more than 60% of world Jewry) and then Finns, Eneks, etc. etc. as well as the descendents of the Alani -- the Ossetes

The only way to manage this chaos was to impose one-nation, one-god as the Ming and then the Qing had done in China

This of course exacerbated nations who wanted to be independent -- if you lose your language and your religion, you then lose your identity (see the Belarussians and many eastern Ukrainians or see the Scottish today)

The way to extract the Chechens from islam is to do the same thing that we should do to the Berbers --> show them that their identity is being swamped by Islam (which promotes "Arabization") and that the way out is to reject Islam.

I propose the way is to push the ancient Church of the East (the Assyrian Church either the Chaldean Catholic or the Assyrian Church) to convert the Chechens and preach in their own languages (the Chechens speak a few languages and the Dagestanis have over 70 I believe)

What you write is possible, but my prediction about Israel is different from yours. The modern philosophy of “never again” does not mean that there will never be another Holocaust. Jewish history is filled with attempted genocide against the Jews. “Never again” means that the Jews will never again be docile and complicit in their own extermination. A nuclear attack on Israel would bring on retaliation which would scorch the earth of the enemy who attacks them, and that will include Mecca and Medina, followed by a mopping up operation that would be surgical and awful. Then the Jews will climb out of their shelters and rebuild Israel.

When Islam is crushed, a lot of the believers will become bewildered. Fortunately, there is a religion waiting for them in Iran called the Baha’i faith, which has a superficial resemblance to Islam but contains many modern elements which would allow them to live as civilized people with the rest of the world.

While somewhat off-topic, you seem to be the right person to ask: how did Christianity fail to make significant inroads among the Persians (modern day Iranians) even as it was embraced by many of her neighbors (notably Armenia) in the first three or four centuries after Christ?

I mean, it seems a natural, yet, they went from paganism to Islam even as Christianity was "available" to them.

What’s sickening is that the progressive left has no clue that the Muslims they are in bed with will turn on them in a heartbeat after their overturning of traditional Western values is complete. Unfortunately, that includes us as well unless we soon wake up in larger numbers.

I discovered that one of my co-workers, a Purdue graduate with an MBA, has never heard of "Allah-Ahkbar". Never heard of Sharia Law. And has never heard of Islam. She attends a Christian Church and claims to not be a liberal. She represents the vast majority of Americans who are totally clueless. This country is so skrewed.
