Dancing, cheering and toting placards, gay rights supporters took to the streets in huge numbers at annual gay pride parades across the United States on Sunday, with attendance boosted by recent Supreme Court rulings in support of same-sex marriage.
Gay pride celebrations were held in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis and several other cities by marchers energized by the top court's rulings extending federal benefits to married homosexual couples and striking down a ban on same-sex marriages in California.
In San Francisco, two couples who sued to overturn the California ban led nearly 1 million people in one of the biggest parades in years. Some people carried signs that read "Thank you, Supreme Court!"
The two couples, Kris Perry and Sandy Stier and Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo, got married on Friday, hours after the ban was lifted.
On Sunday, crowds cheered as they rode through the parade in a baby-blue convertible with rainbow-colored cans dragging from the back of the car. Some in the crowd were dressed in rainbow colors, others wore bridal dresses and tuxedos.
In New York, Edith Windsor, whose lawsuit prompted the Supreme Court decision to grant gay couples federal benefits, was among the grand marshals leading New York's Gay Pride march down Fifth Avenue.

The DOMA Law was passed overwhelmingly by republicans and democrats in the house and senate and signed by a democrat president.
The California initiative that was passed directly by “the people” in direct democracy and was supported by over 70% of black voters.
Both laws were “overturned” by 5 unelected judges forcing their will over the will of the people.
I have said it before. Democrats/liberals/progressive never understand that the tactics and schemes they use on others to get to their political “ends” will one day be used against them.

Nah, can't be. A bunch of freepers claim our Republic was destroyed and replaced with a "pure democracy" where an "absolutely majority" has "mob rule" control of govenrment. That's odd, because last time I checked, the majority of Americans did NOT vote for gay marriage, Obamacare, illegal alien amnesty, etc. Instead, a small bunch of elite politicians FORCED this stuff on the rest of us.

That homo ruling is a bummer for sure but ironically libs are outraged that the 5-4 SCOTUS overturned that part of the VRA removing chains binding the Southern states (voting ID laws ) after 90%+ of the GOP (congress) reauthorized it in 2006 under GWB. Only a few Rs voted against doing that then.
Scalia made the argument that it had to be overturned because congress was scared to change it in 2006 even though 40+ years had passed and there were no firehoses and dogs stopping blacks from voting in those states anymore.
So the SCOTUS steps in to reverse the congress.
Like giving illegals the vote, how many minorities votes did the GOP screwing the Red states in 2006 get the GOP in 2006, 2008 and 2012?? zero!

I posted on another thread about how some people in my general neighborhood were on their way to or back from seeing the PARADE EVENT. It amazed me how people with small children apparently went to watch too. The local culture “celebrates” it. Small children are very impressionable and must be protected from this filth.
I’ll strongly object. Some of us have eaten.
However, from the description alone you can see the comparisons to the last days of Rome. These people are quite literally braindead.
