So we have Patrick Leahy (told Osama he was monitored by his sattelite phone from Tora Bora), Rockefeller (reading off Xerox machine trash in the Capital) (Turbin Durbin flying to Baghdad with McDermont giving aid to Bag Dad) and Pelosi Signing that Zippy is qualified as Pres__ent and we’re supposed to believe as Zip Pinhead supplies arms to al Quaeda, Snowden said something wrong? With friends like the U.S., I don’t need any Enemas.

Barry’s incompetence in action. His goofball aides filed the charges but it took them a few days to figure out that they should revoke Snowden’s passport too.

Could also be that Barry doesn't really want to catch him. Since, then there would be a trial, and there would be discovery and the legal process, and it would all hang out that Barry is a tyrant.

So, Barry has to make an effort, but the best outcome from his point of view is, Snowden gets away and fades away.

Around the world, an estimated 12 million individuals lack nationality or citizenship in any nation. (link)

There are international agreements about dealing with stateless persons, refugees and people who are politically or religiously persecuted.

Obviously, no action of their former government - such as revoking the passport - can hurt the status of the refugee. It can only prove, very clearly, that their old government is really after them, and that the refugee should be accepted.

There is no extradition treaty between the USA and Russia. Why? No time to sign a standard paper? Who dragged their feet? Was it the US Government because it wanted to play the card of Russian emigrants? Hardly any US citizen escapes to Russia - until now, that is - so Russia could not have the same motivation toward the USA. Plenty of Russian criminals left Russia to live comfortably in UK or here, and Russia would like to have them back. Some Chechen warmongers still live in London; don't know how safe they feel, though :-)

Now this lack of extradition treaty hurts Obama. He cannot claw Snowden back. I think Putin will give Snowden another week to try to leave, and after that predictably fails (where'd he go without a passport, short of a direct flight to Equador?) Putin will issue him a temporary visa on humanitarian grounds, which for some obscure reason will never expire. He will get a nice job, of course, and - being young enough to relocate with ease - will just continue living and working. I'm sure he is smart enough to be productive. He is good with foreign languages, as you'd expect. By the way, he is not married - yet.

And besides, it's obvious that if he ever makes it to Equador, how safe will he be in the US backyard? His residence there would be measurable in days; weeks on the outside. But it would be far more difficult for the CIA to remove a person from Russia; he actually has a chance there.

That’s a possibility. Obummer’s only got circumstantial evidence and that won’t hold up in court. Of course, Snowden worries he could get eliminated if he returns to the US to, so he should not return. But here’s the big problem: It’s the GOPers who are cheerleading for Barry on this thing. This was a golden opportunity to blast the Messianic image of Obummer, but Linda Graham had to mess it all up by saying that Snowden is a traitor and Barry should have a right to edit the emails of US citizens.

Another political refuge from the totalitarian socialist ends up in Russia. The Russians are giving the Israelis a run for the Leader of the Free World status.

And when the GOPe fumbles the ball and fails to take up the initiative, what should the TEA Party do ?

IMHO - Both Democratic and Republican Parties have become corrupt and compromised due to the amassing of large amounts of private and secret data that has been hacked by one of their own contracted employees. We cannot assume that this hacking was the first or that it will be the last. We do not know what the system administrator took, so we have to assume he took everything for the sake of national security.

Or at the very least, if you had a limited amount of time to acquire compromising data, what would you spend that time doing ? Dumping down random files ? No. You would target all current existing nationally elected officials and all the top managers of the Federal Programs. You have to assume that is what he did.

They are all compromised. Every single one of them.

Charges were filed against Snowden on June 14th - why didn’t they evoke his passport at that time? I can’t think of an ulterior motive but I’m pretty sure there is one.

Snowden is a great distraction from the constitution shredding Machine of the NSA and the corporate welfare leeches it supports.

The valid US passport is a non-issue....it does not prevent a nation from allowing you in....esp if that nation requires a visa. The passport is mainly to allow you to return

Russia...or any nation....can issue a visa under any circumstances they proscribe

I’m not a lawyer and never went to law school. But your explanation sounds intruiging. So in a sense by revoking his passport that could technically forbid Snowden from returning to the US since it’s not valid, therefore no proof of his true identity. If that were the case than Barry really got played.

Putin could really complicate matters on legal technicalities. For instance, the White House said Snowden over-stayed his 24-hour transit visa in Russia, but supposedly the airport transfer station is not Russian property. This issue alone raises some legal questions. What court has jurisdiction over the transfer station? Should the UN World Court in the Hague, not a U.S. court deal with the extradition papers? Could Russia force a trial on Snowden and find him innocent since the charges claim he’s spying on Russia? Do Russia and China reserve the right to request all evidence from Obama to prove Snowden is a spy? Can Russia and China sue Barry for slander and take it to a Russian court? Does Russia handing over Snowden to the US mean an admission of guilt? If so, can Obummer file charges on Putin and Xi Xinping? Remember, Barry signed a UN Treaty that permitted leaders of national governments to be tried for human rights abuses. However, Putin could also hand over Barry to the World Court too. US has just admitted in its extradition papers that Snowden committed treason meaning that his claims of Prism spying are true. Hence, does Putin have a right to demand justice and call for the UN World Court or even a Russian court of law to put Barry on trial for the crimes of spying?

" Barry provides a burden of proof "

Anyone noticed the irony in all of this related to Obama's birth certificate and eligibility ?

Perhaps Putin can tell Barry that Barry does not have standing on the issue.
