Snowden Possibly to Remain in Russia - WikiLeaks
RIA Novost ^ | 06/26/2013 | Bobby Yip

MOSCOW, June 26 (RIA Novosti) - The whistleblowing organization WikiLeaks said on its Twitter feed on Wednesday that former CIA employee Edward Snowden, wanted by the United States for leaking state secrets, may be permanently stuck in Russia.

“Cancelling Snowden's passport and bullying intermediary countries may keep Snowden permanently in Russia,” WikiLeaks said on its Twitter feed, but did not specify the names of intermediary countries.

The United States has issued a warrant for Snowden’s arrest on charges of leaking details of a US surveillance program and cancelled his US passport, which Washington says should prevent him from traveling internationally.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Snowden, whose whereabouts had been the subject of international speculation for the past two days, was in the transit area of a Moscow airport.

“The Russians are currently big on common sense. Like no new mosques building in Moscow, a ban on homosexual propaganda, no adoptions to countries that allow gays to adopt”

Also, the Russians were the ones advising Obama’s regime not to go down the Marxist path as they had. They also warned us about the Tsarnaevs. Yet Obama.... hateful of America that he is.. blew them off. So who again is the enemy of America?

And in regards to the revoking of Snowden’s passport. Does this mean he’s no longer a US citizen? If he’s no longer a US citizen than technically he never betrayed his country, since he’s no longer an American citizen.

“Hence, does Putin have a right to demand justice and call for the UN World Court or even a Russian court of law to put Barry on trial for the crimes of spying?”

That’s a great idea. Come get him, Poot!!!

Snowden never renounced his US citizenship.
The US government can never take away your US citizenship, only a passport.

All these legal technicalities are important legal matters to adress. We should spend the next few years and even decades to file lawsuits and counter lawsuits in the US, Russian, Hong Kong, Chinese and UN World Courts to determine the fate of Snowden. And let’s say the US Supreme Court agrees Snowden’s extradition papers are valid then the Russian, Chinese and UN World Courts deserve the right to appeal since it relates to global legal jurisdiction. Doesn’t Beijing have the right for putting Barry on trial in Hong Kong or at least deposing him as a hostile witness to determine if Snowden did indeed commit espionage on behalf of the Chinese government? Aren’t suspects on trial permitted to confront their accusers even if it’s in a Hong Kong or Moscow court of law? Come on Barry if Snowden committed treason than explain your reasoning to a Russian judge or jury.

Suppose the Russians upped the ante by staging a fake drone strike on the airport...narrowly missing Snowden but causing much collateral damage...

A lot of people are already angry with Zero for the drone strikes. Russia could make him look even more childish and dangerous... hard to believe that’s possible though....

I wouldn’t be surprised if obama is president for the rest of his life. I wouldn’t surprised if elections are cancelled. Or somehow a Dem majority in both houses pass a law allowing a president an indefinite amount of terms.

The media still provide cover. They would say there is no one better. They would say, look how far he broughr us since President Bush. They would say all we ever ever had was old White guys, it is racist to expect him to leave office.

I think 0bummer likes “bears” though. He would welcome them with open butt cheeks

I think the best strategy is to utilize these legal technicality schemes. Whenever the US Justice Department makes a move then the Russians or Chinese should launch a counter claim. Watching a battle of global lawyers could make Barry look really goofy. Remember his top lawyer is Eric Holder. Do you really want Holder as your courtroom attorney? The Russians and Chinese hold hundreds of billions of dollars in currency reserves. I’m certain they can hire a team of lawyers to turn Holder into mincemeat.

Here's something from an earlier post of mine....

I have not heard anyone else bring this up yet... Once Snowden publishes enough validated dirt on government snooping he will then be free to CREATE more documentation out of thin air! He has the skill to create such false documents and nearly everyone will believe him and discount any denials. :-)

Just think of the possibilities.....

Benghazi, Targeting of political enemies. Monitoring of elected officials and the later blackmailing of same...etc

I’m certain Snowden will still get the royal treatment from Russia

Then you don’t know Putin.

Settling down for a long winter’s night......

I did say the reason we didn’t see Waldo move from Russia was because Assange’s people couldn’t get cooperation from the countries leadership he assumed would take him in.

Waldo should have gone his own way and not let assange be a part of this.....unlesss of course Assange was in it right from the beginning.

..Frightening thought with his butt currently parked in Putin's jurisdiction....won't matter to Putin if it's technically not Russia...Anybody now can swoop in and nab Snowden...Putin could and claim the US got him or a host of excuses. On the other hand Assange set up Snowdens travels....now that he has the documents he wanted....Snowdens history to him.

“Russia has several options...”

And I would think that what options are executed will depend on the value of information ES supplies to Vlad.

“Charges were filed against Snowden on June 14th - why didn’t they evoke his passport at that time? I can’t think of an ulterior motive but I’m pretty sure there is one.”

Malice or Incompetence? With this bunch it’s always so hard to tell!

That's all moot IF Ecuador grants asylum. Because the Kremlin will say Snowden was merely waiting for the second leg of his flight and never passed out of customs.

HOWEVER, just days ago, Assange talked like Ecuador was a done deal for Snowy. And abra-cadabra, now it's not. Hmmm...
