Rep. King: ‘If We See Them Pass Amnesty, It’s Amnesty Forever’
PJ Media ^ | June 23, 2013 - 1:06 pm | Nicholas Ballasy

Conservative members of Congress gathered for a six-hour press conference last week outside of the Capitol before a large crowd to speak out against granting any “amnesty” to illegal immigrants before the nation’s borders are secure.

“If we see them pass amnesty, then it’s amnesty forever and you can never restore the rule of law again at least with regard to immigration – that’s the central piece of this thing,” Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King, who sponsored the event, told PJ Media.

“It was a mistake for Reagan to sign amnesty in ’86. He didn’t let me down very often – that time he did. This still remains the fruits of that – the mindset that you can reward people for breaking the law and somehow they’re going to be law abiders later on. They won’t be.”

LBJ liberalized immigration in ‘65. Reagan did the same in ‘85.

Am I surprised they are going for a hat trick here? Not really.

This is a vote on ‘open borders’.
Check out page 37 of the act to see how much money they have allocated for ‘initial funding’: over 44 billion dollars.
And page 36 spells out that they are not obligated to build a “fence or other infrastructure.”
It’s also ‘three card monte’.

Mr. King, I do not want to see amnesty passed ever. I want to see the border secured for the rest of time, and I want to see the stinking liars and conmen of the us government arrested, tried and jailed for their attempt to destroy this country.

I am really not interested in seeing this government do anything other than what I said, ever.

“...illegal immigrants...”

Has anyone noticed how the term illegal alien has disappeared from the lexicon? Looks like some has determined that immigrant sounds less threatening that alien. I guess it’s all in how you phrase things nowadays.

Mr. McGee I’ll be visiting your state in a few weeks. Ever been to Navarre? My sister bought a house there and will be returning from Afghanistan and we we spend a week with her then. Never been there before.

By the way, you are absolutely right about the Aztlan thing. That is their ultimate goal. What I can’t figure out is why they think any new country carved into the American Southwest will be any better than any of the 3rd world crapholes they are coming from now.

This is truly becoming frightening to see we are so close to losing our nation because of the leaders will not follow the laws. These gang of 8 are the most traitorous politicians that I have ever seen to flaunt illegality in the government by transforming the U.S.A. Legal immigrants and American workers have the right to be apart of this decision of what they are forcing on all of us. Any GOP Senator that votes for this bill has to be voted out and we have to force our will in Congress before it’s too late. We all may have to stop work to go protest.
