There is a USSR, Snowden is a traitor, and China, which made your underwear and socks, is an enemy! Where have I landed, in a parallel universe?

At first he seemed like a breath of fresh air, but it now appears he is a spy giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Drone the bastard.

This appears more than a little strange (the government pursuit of Snowden). The power structure wants to silence someone because of something that probably is insignificant, in that, anyone paying attention knew the probability of what was told us by Snowden was being made known before Snowden spoke up, over ten plus years ago. Something else or someone elses is thinking there maybe is something too big to cover-up is about to come out and covering it up would do nothing to stop the consequences? Something else must be going on and a lot of someones know what this something else is ... like maybe Able Danger was something else going on which Americans were never told of, in depth? My apology for the questions. Am doing my best to make sense of what appears to be senselessly pursuing someone that only told what was already known, and am having difficulty believing Snowden has committed a crime. Maybe am all wet, but I thought our rights included oversight of those in power which am sensing is not the case and has not been the case for nearing a century.

A lot of ex-pats are heading to Ecuador. International Living magazine has rated Ecuador number one overall for ex-pats. I wonder how long a small nation could hold out against the NSA? I would think that the NSA could threaten a small country with a version of the Stuxnet aimed at the power grid or communications system. And if the NSA tries to pull some crap like this, expect a likewise response from China, Russia or an anonymous group of hackers against the US.
A Muslim US dictator in control of the NSA; this story will not end well I fear.

No doubt this guy is in with the leftists now, but what the government is doing to all of us by collecting all the data about our phone calls, internet use etc. etc. is wrong.
Does anyone really trust the present Administration with all that information????????
The best solution is for no government of any party to be doing this.....

It might.
The State Department has notified the Russian Interior Ministry and the FSB that they want Snowden deported back to the USA or surrendered to US authorities in Moscow (the CIA station chief at the US Embassy there).
Best thing to do is red-flag him on INTERPOL, and that might be next; that only takes one phone call to INTERPOL HQ.
If I were POTUS, I’d pull a Reagan and intercept the jet he’s on and force it to land either in the US or a friendly country and take him into custody.

Currently, Americans seem to favor Hilary who couldn’t even run a single department. But she is a powerful, cunning and manipulative leftist and could therefore do more damage to this country than even the empty suit Obama.

This guy is operating against our interests. When it come to "our interests," I'd like to suggest a true American motto; "Duty, Honor, Country!"
Snowden's revealing Obama led corruption is doing service to our country.

A thread this am said he was given new papers thru the wiki leaks crew! That would invalidate his US papers!
Maybe even a new identity????
Still say he was/is CIA. And is being used as a payback for what DC did to Petraeus He hasn’t said anything that wasn’t told by previous whistleblowers. Did you see the WB on “her Aldo “ last night. 0 is charging anyone who questions what is going on with treason ! Time to get all of them together on a very public forum.

I don’t think it’d stop Snowden either, but it definitely makes it that much harder for him not to make a mistake. It’s only one piece of the puzzle of how he’ll end up back in US hands.

While I'm glad that the extent of NSA Domestic Spying has come into common knowledge (though for most FReepers, it has been known for years), any sympathy I had for Snowden ended when he disclosed specific Chinese IP addresses that NSA hacked. Those IP's look like HK citizens, not PRC IP's. HK citizens are the ones who are anti tyrant. The PRC would be the ones who are the tyrants.
I reserve my judgement.

Do we truly know Americans seem to favor Hilary or is this simply what ‘We the Sheep’ are being told?
